People on this board always talk about how discouraged KG must be when his team underperforms every year. How do you suppose Elton Brand feels? I think he would make a nice addition: he's very consistent, no ego to speak of, and can play center or power forward. Do these talented players really want to end their careers as a Clipper? _________________ Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. |

Agreed.
While we're at it, let's get Chris Paul and Dwight Howard too!
Hell, let's get the first 2 picks in the draft for the next few years! |

I would like Elton on the Lakers very much.
But it does not matter how I feel about it.
Nor does it matter how Elton feels about it, which is the entire basis for your post.
The Clippers will not trade him to the Lakers.
Why start a thread on something that you and I and everyone and their brother now will never happen? |

There are better players in the league that the Lakers have a better shot at, based on the cross town rival not dealing with the Lakers. And who would they deal? Odom? yeah. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see him be a Laker, but it won't happen. |

If we were offered Chris Paul, Dwight, and Elton Brand for Andrew Bynum, LG'ers would probably reject that. |

If the Clippers don't make the playoffs the next 2 years, it's not out of the realm of posssibility that Brand opts out in '08 and goes across the hall to play with the best player in the game. That's not a bad inside-out combination. Kobe could use another player with the same caliber work ethic and who would have something to play for...winning! Kwame would be off the books at that point, and if KG isn't a reality, this is not far fetched. |

Our pipe dreams have slipped from KG and Duncan to Elton Brand. How have we slipped so low? |

Wasn't Kobe seriously considering going to that crosstown rival? I know he was a free agent but it's not beyond the realm of possibility. _________________ Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. |

How exactly is Brand slipping low? Great rebounder and shotblocker with a consistent jumper out to 18 feet and above average defense. He's also younger than both to boot.
Sounds like the perfect 4 to me.
Not realistic in any way, but he would be perfect. |

Still if I'm gonna dream I'd rather dream of KG or TD. I'm also slightly prejudiced against anyone who enjoys being a Clipper. |
