(RealGM.com) benshizzle wrote: | This isn't a trade but it is a rumor involving KG. I have a good source, my friend and I met Troy hudson's manager at lifetime fitness while hooping last year and I occasionally talk to him about the wolves. Huddy's manager said that KG wants to be traded to lakers and wants huddy to come with him in the off season. The trade would be KG and huddy for a package of odom, kwame, and a young filler. Now this is clearly still a rumor, but it was from a direct source. KG said he wants to be traded if wolves don't make second round so the chance is big for LA to get KG. Keep in mind this is from a legit source and it does make sense for KG to be traded to lakers to contend. I'll let you guys know more if I see him again but before last week I didn't talk to him for 2 months. |
The author is actually an active member on the Timberwolves message board at RealGM.com, which should add alittle bit of credibility to the rumor in my opinion. He's written more in that thread linked in the quote to clarify his words. Not saying it's going to happen, just if the Wolves don't make the second round of the playoffs it's a strong possibility.
Would you make that trade with the Wolves? |

being an active member of RealGM lends credibility?

Why does Troy Hudson have a manager also? Does he also play bass for the Replacements? And if he meant "agent", then why would Troy Hudson's agent be a local Minneapolis guy? |

In no way we are taking another contract from the Wolves.
Either KG forces their hand with "no strings attached", or we are out of it.
I like KG like no other non-Laker. But we gotta remember that he is no bargain at 2 years $46MM contract left. |

if kg wants to be a laker he will opt out of his deal and sign with us for the MLE and keep Lamar _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' You kidding? Gettin ONLY Hudson is the best we can do. Minny will want to dump as much salary as they can in a KG trade, and whoever gets him will have to take it. _________________ www.lakersbrasil.com

I hope they would want to dump Blount, he would make a great backup to Bynum. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

End of the season, if the Lakers get owned in 1st or 2nd round, no question I make that deal. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...
Time for the Lakers to create a whole new legacy! We want 10 more trophies boys! |

No, I am not. If we take anybody else (and absolutely all contracts they have are just horrible), we are setting ourself up for another Shaq-like salary cap nightmare. Realistically speaking: per salary cap rules, by giving up Lamar and Kwame, who this "young filler" would be? - Cookie? (can do it only this summer)
Bottom line - I wouldn't do that deal. May be, as Ventura has suggested, I't take Blount instead of Hudson and call it a day. But I am not thrilled with Blount's contract either... |
