Dude can't get PT on the Pistons and we need a big BADLY. Also, it helps Detroit dump salary...

I don't see the Pistons trading with us. I think they're another one of those teams like the CLippers that just would not trade with us. Are there any documented trades or transactions between the Lakers and Detroit in recent memory ?

How about the last draft? When we traded Cheick Samb for Maurice Evans.

We got Evans from them this past summer...

We also traded Melvin Levett for Derek Harper.

nope.

say what you will about cook - he fits in our system, knows it well, and is usually effective when getting playing time.

nazr won't help at all once kwame comes back, and wont' help enough untill he does.

his contract is big enough to get in the way of possible future free agent signings, where cook has a very reasonable and movable contract.

no.

but if i had to make an educated guess - nazr will be traded for mike james.

When healthy, Mihm is our best center currently. People have forgotten Mihm way too fast.

Does a bear (bleep) in the woods and then wipe his arse with a white, fluffy rabbit?

I actually never gave him credit...dude is just a 3rd stringer in this league... Bynum is the next big thing, and we have Kwame and Ronny, so Mihm is unlikely to be re-signed on the summer

You can get all the bad contracts you want with them, but they would hurt our flexibility in the long run, and you don't hurt your flexibility ( and so your ability to sign FAs and to make future trades) for a bad player.

LOL. Short term memory? Just because there are certain teams we haven' ever traded with doesn't mean they or us haven't attempted to or even discussed trades before. Have we traded with Utah in awhile or ever? Not sure, but we almost did for Boozer. Clippers and Lakers play in the same division and recently, in the same building. It wouldn't be wise for both teams to trade with each other. How many teams in our own division have we traded with? Few, if any.
