Scottie Pippen is seriously considering a comeback and hopes to play for a contending team in this season's playoffs. He didn't mention the Bulls as a possible destination. Pippen, who turned 41 on Sept. 25, says he's in better condition and health than at any time in the last five years. -- Chicago Tribune

I think Scottie in his heyday and Kwame now would make great drinking buddies. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

have him as a mentor on the bench wouldn't be bad. If he could be in LO's ear i think it would pay off big time. The question remains...would he be happy sitting all season+playoffs? theres absolutely no room for him to play. I would still sign him for the vet min just for his knowledge of the tri. _________________ "There is no such thing as a former Lakers fan. You either are, or you never were."

As a player/coach to come in and get the offense back on track every now and then for 10 minutes or so a game, why not? If he's cheap that is. I don't think his value is high as a defender or scorer - just as someone to help facilitate the tri. I think he's looking for a bit more of a role though. |

He would HAVE to understand that he's not at the age where he would be any more than a off the bench role player. Like Alonzo, if he works hard and shows production, it could bump up. But it's pretty unlikely.
I think a player/coach role is perfect. |

Then why have him waste a roster space if all he's gonna do is mentor? Make him an assistsant coach in that case. _________________

Magic is only 47 and the way he is built now ... he could be our answer at Power Forward |

Seriously... I really dont see why not. The way I look at it is... Pippen will play with more heart than anybody on the Laker team... except Kobe. Bring him in, I'll take anybody right now who is willing to play hard defense, and give 100 percent effort every night. |

I read a quote from the NY Times where Pippen said that he lives in Ft. Lauderdale and wants to play for Miami... |

With all the multi-player rumors going around, there could be a roster spot open, why not let Pip and Rodman battle for the last spot? The sad thing is, with guys like Shammond and McKie, would the signing be that crazy? Let Miami toy with the idea of signing him, and when he sees that a team that desperate won't sign him, maybe he'd be happy with garbage time minutes in a mentor role. |

Now, that's funny. I haven't heard someone call for Rodman for years. Except for being 45 years old, out of shape, having not played for seven years, and being a team cancer, Rodman would be perfect. |

Didn't he say he wants to play for a contender.
He won't:
a) Play much for miami cuz they're deep at forward.
b) be on a contending team because Miami snuck by last year. |

maybe signing a 41 year old will garuntee guys don't check in overweight. It wouldn't shock me though if they moved guys in front of him in another deal and play him more than what he is ready for. |
