I was watching the game (rooting against Denver, obviously) and gave up hope after Billups missed his 3 leaving 1.5 seconds on the clock, Denver ball at half-court, up by 3, Detroit having no time-outs to stop the clock or advance the ball.
The *only* way Denver loses is if Detroit steals the inbounds in their own half-court and tosses up a prayer.... and has it answered.... just to send the game to OT.
Saying it is one thing.... but to see it happen? Priceless.

I can't see it there. I get a message saying "This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender's friend request."
75% of the people at the Palace were already in the parking lot at this point! Some of the people filing out don't even look like they're paying attention to the last play, since there was no way the Pistons were gonna catch up. Should've been a simple inbounds play with an intentional foul, but....
Can somebody explain to me why we'd rather want to play San Antonio than Phoenix? Do we want to stand much of a chance or not?
Probably because we have dominated San Antonio this season, and played to a 1-1 tie with Phoenix. Nevermind we weren't near full strength in either game with them. The Spurs seem to be a more favorable match up though.
After watching it, it's not as bad as it sounds. I thought that they were inbounding it below Detroit's basket, and for some reason, they chucked it down the court, and Rasheed picked it. It was still a bad play by the Nuggets, but teams do that all the time. They should've had someone stand right next to the inbounder, so that the pass was basically a handoff. _________________ Double rings > Double rainbow
the stands were empty. reminds me of those commercials about fans giving up on their team. _________________ "I define success by championships, by winning..." Kobe Bryant

Are you kidding me bro?
That's one in a million right there, "wasn't as bad as it sounds?"
Uh....Let's see, you're a Denver Nugget fan, you're thinking:
"Alright boys, we're up by 3, 1.3 seconds left, AND we have the ball on our side of the court, this is in the bag, I mean, what's the worse that can happen?"
The pass being picked off may not be absolutely amazing, but the fact that
1. There was a bad pass.
2. It was picked off a Piston.
3. He was able to release it before the clock ran out.
4. It was way past mid court.
5. He makes it.
Can't you picture a father rolling his eyes as his son tells him the game isn't over yet? At least thoes people that left early got to beat traffic, I'm sure that was worth it.

Yeah, I guess you're right, not that crazy.
I originally pictured it as the inbounder chucked the ball 75 feet, only to have Rasheed pick it off, and launch it. The only reason that pass was picked was because Prince has such long arms, and the Pistons were playing agressive defense. Most of the time, a team has given up in that scenario, which is why you don't see those passes picked off more.
The fact that it was tipped wasn't crazy, just the fact that Rasheed got it and made the shot. _________________ Double rings > Double rainbow

i hate when people give that excuse. You wouldn't believe how many people were leaving game 4 last year. I was there yelling "game's not over yet" before kobe even tied it. In LA there is no such thing as "beating traffic" _________________ Thank you, Kobe. We love you.
