these are the last few episodes of the series. sad to see it come to and end.

it's the most brilliant show on television and one of the best tv series of all time. check it out on dvd if you haven't yet seen it.

james gandolfini, edie falco and david chase deserve every award under the sun for this show. thank god for hbo and their great programming.

Ya i had always wanted too see it , so i got all the episodes and watched them. Great series. I was checking around and i saw they went on break for like 2 years after the 5th season? I read somewhere that is begins again this april, but wasnt announced if its officially finished, depends on if Chase wanted too continue.

They did 8-10 shows about six months ago and these final 9 episodes are supposed to be a continuation of that. Im pretty sure its officially over after these last nine but Im really hoping they dont kill Tony off but I wouldnt bet on him staying alive.

Agreed it's an outstanding show with great performances. But really, I thought the first half of this last season was one of the weakest stretches in the entire series. I'm hoping the writing picks up for these last few episodes.

season 2 and 3 were the zenith of the show. Especially when Furio's character was introduced. The scene where he collects money from the whore house is gold.

obviously not you, however you are the minority.

Its a great show. I cant wait to see it tomorrow. I just hope the final 9 are better then season 6. Best thing about 6 was Vito getting whacked.

Its nice to see things on tv that you see in real life too (talking about buildings/ sets etc...)

Ya that was painful and got beat in so bad , they couldnt make out it was him. Ya its his own fault, he came back for the lifestyle and being gay in the mafia isnt going too fly. Ugly way too die. Also like some have said, Season 6, definitely wasnt the best, probably one of the my least favourite, outside of veto the vito storyline, which was entertaing.

keeping in tradition with tony's "tragic hero" character...i think he's gonna die.

i also think tony dies and Chris takes over. That would be very entertaining if the Russian guy came back lol

In life, we're lucky to be remembered for one truly great thing. Rao's and The Sopranos make his legacy twice as nice. RIP ...

He was one of the numerous GoodFellas alums in Sopranos. In GF, he was one of Paulie Cicero's 50s crew. He got face time, but no lines. He was in the "You broke yer cherry!" scene.

He went ultimate tragic hero, unfortunately. As if the world didn't need people like Jimmy G in it.

I tivo'd a 2007 broadcast of Gandolfini interviewing Iraq/Afghanistan vets on HBO. He brought Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts) over to Afghanistan to meet some of the boys and girls. You might even recall seeing it at the time. Very powerful and harsh because you're confronted again with the brutal reality of those wars. As you know, HBO will show the imagery: canoed militant heads, body parts, car bomb scenes, horrific injuries, etc. One of the soldiers lost her arm to an RPG. It physically hit her shoulder blade, which tore it up even before it exploded. She was in induced coma for months, rehab, and the rabbit hole of depression that often goes with the other stuff. Gandolfini wrote her a sealed note that he told her to read when she needed it (I read that as "if you're ever in a dark state") and he died before it was ever opened. His empathy really rose to the fore in a way that it doesn't for many. It was visible in his eyes. It's a hard thing to give catharsis to a person who went thru that level of trauma. Maybe that's why he was able to convey humanity even as selfish, brutish, boyish Ton'. I miss that gentleman.
