Yeah, and it feels good that he is a Laker. But I feel him when he says that he is detaching himself from the Lakers. In order to focus on the task at hand, you have to push your troubles aside, and that is what Kobe is doing. _________________ "The game's in the refrigerator, the door's closed, the light's out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard and the Jell-O's jiggling."
Sorry, the article posted had NOTHING to do with the carmelo quote.
Quote:
"Anybody would love to play with Kobe," says the Denver Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony, the USA's leading scorer at the 2006 World Championships. "We love it, the way he is meshing with the other guys here. You never have to worry about what Kobe is going to bring to the table."

Lets see him try doing it for 82 games, I doubt he or any other player with real talent for scoring....would be singing the same tune.
They wouldn't at all. They'll be too worried about where to put their multiple Larry O'Brien trophies. _________________ "I accepted their challenge. I accepted the doubt of everyone who spoke on my downfall and used their words as fuel. I have a franchise to resurrect, a city of fans to uplift."

So now it's "if he played with him for 82 games it'll be different"? I love the way you haters try to spin the obvious.
A sample of a conversation with a Kobe hater who believes this crap;
Hater: "Nobody wants to play with Kobe."
Yes they do. Many have said so.
Hater: "Like who?"
Jason Kidd, Baron Davis, Carmelo Anthony to name a few.
Hater: "I still maintain that nobody wants to play with Kobe."
Based on what?
Hater: "Players have said that they wouldn't play with him."
Like who?
Hater: "I'm not going to name names."
So let me get this right, You say nobody wants to play with Kobe, I ask you to name a player who has said so and you can't/won't . I name several who said PUBLICALLY that they would love to play with him and name the names, and you still refuse to accept that?
Enjoy your kool aid dude.
Their responses to comment like these would be " What do you expect him to say? That he doesn't want to play with kobe. He is just being cool infront of the cameras but everyone knows what he thinks".
So, they take things for gospel when it agrees with their idea but when it doesn't they question it. _________________

Understand you would feel that way Carmelo, after playing with Iverson..... _________________ NBA Finals 2008 Game 4 post-game reaction:

That's exactly right melo061. What's scary about that mentality is that they will completly ignore verified, readily available information in favor of rumors, speculation and conjecture. But as the saying goes, sports is a microcosm of life.

This is hardly proof of people crossing their fingers that they will one day have the chance to play in LA with Kobe. What else do you expect a person to say in front of the press corps?
I'm sure there are plenty of people that would like to play along Kobe but the above is hardly gospel.

dmills, see the perfect example of what you said.
The haters believe what some media tools claim that no one wants to play with Kobe. Then, so many players (Baron Davis, Jalen Rose, etc.) said they loved to play with Kobe. But yet they're making all kinds of excuses to justify their hatred.
That was one of the most flattering articles I have read about Kobe in the past few years. No veiled criticism, no innuendo. Love the line from LBJ saying Kobe brings another leader to the team. Dawg, meet Alpha Dawg! _________________ Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.
