| I truly believe there is a master plan to replace Kobe with the next Young Superstar to pair with Bynum. O.J. Mayo has to be the Kobe replacement. Now the questions is how do we part with Kobe and get O.J. Mayo and some useful assets in return? |

We ask for the moon in any discussion for Kobe. That means the top two players from any team that wants to discuss a trade. _________________ Congrats to 818lakers for winning the 2010 LG NBA playoff pool. |

A SG and PF.... one of the two must be a current all-star or consensus future all-star, and the other may be, if not an all-star, a recent draft pick/prospect.
Examples...
Amare + Tucker, Fernandez + Aldridge, Boozer + Brewer, Milicic + Gay + Miller, Joe Johnson + Al Horford, etc. _________________ 16 Wins for 16th Title

Shaq was at the end of his prime years pretty much because of his work ethic and fat ass... Kobe is just starting his prime and that BS trade is the reason they won't settle for less... come on they won't even trade AB/Lo fo JO. _________________ "Rebounding and defense is what's going to help us win." we don't, because the teams with the most chances of getting the mayo pick, aren't atractive to kobe - even if la likes the deal.
he won't sign an extention, so you dont' have a deal.
need i add that any team that gets kobe now is also a lot less likely to have a high lottery pick at the end of the season ?...
you are basicaly hoping to trade kobe to a lottery team.
not gonna happen.
what buss wants in return is a money maker.
a crowd draw. a ticket seller.
and our pipe dream of ever having another player of kobe's caliber on this team will have to rely on future cap space and lebron, wade, or one of those guys opting out.
as remote as it can get imo.
speaking of pipe, perhaps there's a chance we could get mello for kobe ?
kobe and farmar for mello ?
if k-mart is healthy, nuggets will win multiple titles with kobe.

Absolutely agree with that.
I would add Deng plus Tyrus Thomas or Noah and Thabo. Also: Marion plus Barbosa and ATL draft pick. |

Had this same thought today. Is there any way that we could get Melo for Kobe? Doubtful, but AI, Kobe, Nene, K-Mart, Camby, etc ... not a bad team. Also, would Camby have to be included for salary cap purposes? |

carmelo's already a max player, i'm just not sure about whether he's byc or not.
if he is, we'll have to find other solutions like najera and j.r. smith to compensate.
camby needs to stay cause the nuggets need to know they are title favorites to go for such a move imo.
not sure they'd go for it either way, but i think it's worth their trouble. |

mmm so you're saying the nuggets get sexually assaulted in this scenario ?
but seriously, not that i think it's likely, but winning makes a lot of problems go away... it's been proven plenty of times before. |

Oh yeah ... brain fart ... sorry.
By the way, any Melo trade would be exceedingly difficult because he is BYC. Havent been able to make any trade of Kobe for Melo, Steven Hunter, Najera, and Chucky Atkins work... |

The Hawks are team we should look at with JJ and Horford _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |

By the way, this Denver trade works, according to RealGM:
Kobe and Sasha for
Melo, Hunter, Atkins, and Najera.
Trade ID #4238107
But, Chucky cant be traded until Dec 15, and Hunter not till Nov 10. |

Luol Deng
Amare
Gilbert Arenas
either one of those or nothing really jumps out to me. |

Agreed. That might just be the best possible trade. I think JJ is better than Deng (at least as a scorer) and Horford will be real good. By the way, dont touch Marvin WIllians, Sheldon Williams, or Josh Childress. They are the very definition of mediocre.
We know that Atlanta is not exactly on Kobe's list, but do we know for certain that he would reject ATL? Is there a case to be made that an ATL team of Kobe, Lue, Marvin Willians, Sheldon Williams, Josh Childress, and ZaZa is a contender? I dont think so. At least not for this year. |

| If u guys are going to throw out deals, why not throw out realistic deals other teams would actually do? Don't forget, we will not get equal value for Kobe, so get ready to take less than what he should be worth. |

what would he think of a team like
Zaza/Mimh
J.Smoov/Wright
M.Williams/Childress
Kobe/Evans
Law/Lue/Claxton
It 4-show wouldnt be his 1st choice but it wouldnt be horribe for him either....and could we really get a better offer then Kobe,Evans,Mimh for JJ,Horford and S.Williams or M.Williams?? I dont think so seeing that the susn wouldnt offer Amare+Barbosa and Bulls Deng+ _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Yea, Deng + Thomas or Noah, Dirk + Ager, Redd + Yi, Wilcox + Durant, Brand + Mobley, Arenas + Blatche, Stuckey + Johnson + Hamilton, Howard + Redick, Wade + Simien, McGrady + Scola, Artest + Hawes, J. Wright + Chandler, Igoudala + Jason Smith (+ filler), Krstic + Jefferson + M. Williams.... basically combinations like that (even though I am not suggesting all of those). _________________ 16 Wins for 16th Title

that hawks team will be worse than the current laker team.
much worse.
and he's not signing an extention for a team with no championship tradition if they don't have the roster.
i'd love for it to happen, but kobe just wont' do it. you know he won't. |

Three team deals are probably the most likely way for the Lakers to get a player they want. Chicago,New York,Dallas all have nothing on their roster worth Kobe outside of a package starting with Dirk.
1)I wouldn't mind Boozer and Brewer, but Kobe would definately want Boozer in Utah if he went there.
2)What would make Philadelphia consider moving Iguodala?
3)Would MJ consider trading Okafor to get Kobe? Would Kobe consider playing for MJ's team?(probably not) |

We start with every top assest u got, then we make a deal from their. Example:
Suns:
Amare
Diaw
Barbosa = Their Core
2/3 of those, then throw in a pick and a role player.
A legend in his prime? You better pay the (bleep) up.
