Generally speaking, I find this slightly amusing.

So many have been so incredibly hell bent on keeping this team together and letting them gel that even talking about trading some of the guys would bring out certain camps to rant and rave about your mere suggestion of trying to improve the roster.

Now, we've accepted that Kobe may finally be gone and discussing a possibility of just blowing EVERYTHING UP.

I really thought we would end up blowing up the OTHER parts of the team before we actually blew up the team by trading Kobe, and subsequently blew up the remaining pieces.

the more I think about the more I would actually keep Odom- first off his deal will be expiring in a year, secondly he's a great leader for the young guys and he would be a great presence in the lockerroom, and thirdly LO will become more aggressive and assertive with no Kobe- Im thinking 24ppg, 5apg, and 8rpg- and think if we added a player like Joe Johnson to that mix...

PG Derek Fisher/Javaris Crittenton
SG Joe Johnson
SF Lamar Odom
PF Josh Smith
C Andrew Bynum

however I find it unlikely Atl gives us both JJ AND Smoove just Kobe, it would probably take another team to help get us those two- plus Kobe will have to be okay with the talent in Atl...

I'd rather have Horford than Smith.

But would Kobe really like this situation?

PG Lue/Law
SG Kobe/Childress
SF Marvin
PF Horford/Shelden
C Zaza

Why blow it up? You've got a (potential) future Hall of Famer and once-in-a-generation player in The Big Potential.

the thought would be to build around Bynum if we blew it up...

Now THAT would be an absolute joke.

Might as well build around Sun Yue or Marc Gasol.

I say we should , if we couldn't win with kobe , i dont think we will with Gilbert , or anyone else , for the time being..
Wherever we trade kobe , we should trade dfish with him to get rid of he's contract , since we're gonna be rebuilding..
Keep kwame,Cook,Sasha and mo (expiring K) , or maybe trade some of them for picks..
Try and do a Lamar/Cook for marion/Pick swap , since he will opt out either ways in the end of this year , would be better then odom ( 2 years left)
If they wanna add Kwame for Banks/Atlanta pick (very hard) i would go with it..
Try and trade Luke and vlad for young talents..

I think we will still need some good vets around to teach the kids how to be good pros!
