PostPosted: Thu Oct 18, 2007 7:36 am    Post subject: Buchs on Colin

Said that Mark cuban is trying "to push the needle" to get this done. Says he is very involved.

Buchs said Kobe wants to go to a contender and Colin aksed
"Isnt Dallas a contender", buchs responded "not if you are giving up Dirk&Howard". Before Buchs came on colin said he recieved a message from an inside guy in LA that said Kobe will be gone in the very near future ( I think he said before reg. season. I think). Didnt catch rest of Buch interview (espn radio/colin cowherd).

Not new but encouraging if we are asking for Dirk/Howard

The one on the left or the one on the right?

I think either would know the details of everything going on.

By the way, who is Colin? Colin Ferrel? Colin Quinn? Colin Powell?

This whole thread and its cryptic messages are just too confusing for me.

"Here's you, here's Giorgio, what's with the midget?"

Typo, maybe it is Bush? And Colin Powell? My God, the federal government has gotten involved in this Kobe situation. It's about time, this whole thing is the greatest threat facing the American public.

Colin Cowherd.
I also heard it this morning.

Colin said: "He got a text message from someone in the Organization"

said "Kobe will get traded soon"

make it seem that wont suit up in a Laker uniform.

Will see, tonight.

Go Lakers!!!

Not surprised to see Kobe gone before the season starts.... the writing has been on the wall since Buss' revelations about the conversation he had with Mr. Byrant back on June 15th....

No Howard and/or Dirk, not deal.... so 'strap it up' Mr. Bryant...

I bet Cuban gives us Dirk and Howard and manages to get artest/and or Oneal in Dallas. That makes both teams better. Buchs made it seem like cuban was trying to get other team involved

Kobe for Dirk+Howard

I'm not sure what Kobe expects...

If the Lakers can get anything even close to reasonable compensation the team that Kobe goes to should give up elite player(s).

After Kobe is an elite player and considered one of the best if not the best in the league isn't he?

In the world of Kobe it only matters if the team he goes to is a contender and fair compensation to the Lakers is irrelevant.

In the world of a Laker fan it does matter if the compensation is reasonably fair.

Lakers may ask for Dirk+Howard, but understand noway Cuban does that - will settle for Dirk. Probably hoping that he caves in and offers Dirk.

Lakers won't do a deal without Dirk allegedly and considering Cuban's huge man crush on Dirk .. I don't see him trading Dirk. So I don't see a Dallas trade anytime soon.

Though if I'm a man in Cuban's position, 3 years of Kobe in his prime is probably worth 4-5 years of Dirk in his. Isn't that about the amount both players have left at current performance?

So the Kings and/or Pacers are willing to take on Damp or Terry's bad contracts to give up their best players?

Again, back in the real world....
