Mihm/Hunter/Bynum
Brown/Turiaf/Cook
Lamar/george
kobe/christie/
banks/wafer

IR
Sasha
Parker (or lue)
douhtit
Vlade
Jumaine Jones

First we waive grant with the amnesty clause. Next we trade for Banks. Celtics forum (on realGM) says Banks isn't part of their future and is currently on the block. Im sure a package of walton and slava should appease them. With his somewhat noteable contribution against the Spurs in last years playoffs, I believe stephen hunter is worth the LLE. Christie can split the MLE with Lue should they both become available to us. Smush....ughh....can get signed realistically, as well as douthit.

I think this can be a contending team this year. Is it realistic though? Or is there no chance of any of this happening? And what would be your expectations for this squad.

I voted no because we cant get Banks and Christie. Hunter is going to get overpaid by some team that doesnt land a big named big man. I say more realistic is Ratliff, Lue, Sura, and either Daniels or Watson.

If banks- is on the block why can't we trade for him?

If Christie is waived why can't we pick him up?

We would have to use the MLE for christie and the LLE for his wife.

No way the Lakers trade Walton for Banks now that PJ is back.

Hunter is going to command more than the LLE.

If we do sign Christie I hope Fox jumps him in the tunnel before he even makes it onto the court.

walton-will-be-so-unimportant-this-season

just-watch

i'd-take-banks-over-walton-any-day

Imagine Lamar spoon feeding mihm and Brown, or finding a constantly open Banks (for 3), while Kobe does his usual Godly work. With the offensive playmaking responsibilities relying soley on Lamar. Kobe can up the anty on DEFENSE. Imagine a back court of kobe and Banks applying nuthin but defensive pressure while Kwame and Mihm simply protect the paint. All the while Lamar roams on defense using his 7 foot wingspan to help pester smaller guards on defense and contesting the jumpshots of seemingly open bigs. Add to the fact we have Christie, George Wafer, and Turiaf coming off the bench. This sounds so much more than appetizing.
