It's hard, but here's my ranking...
1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Revenge of the Sith
3. A New Hope
4. Return of the Jedi
5. Attack of the Clones
6. The Phantom Menace
Sith is ranked No. 2 just because it was the most exciting in the series. |

Empire Strikes Back
New Hope
Revenge of the Sith
Return of the Jedi
Attack of the Clones
I won't put Phantom Menance with the others because it is just pure crap. |

I'm old school and all about the original trilogy. Here's my ranking:
1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Return of the Jedi
3. A New Hope
4. Revenge of the Sith
5. Attack of the Clones
6. Phantom Menace _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I want to defend Phantom Menace (even though it's at the bottom of my list)...
If there wasn't:
1. So much of Jake Lloyd
2. So much Jar Jar Binks
3. So much Tattoine
But more:
1. Darth Maul
2. Darth Sidious
The movie would have been really good!!!
But I guess that's like saying if the Lakers had KG and Jason Kidd and played better defense last year they would have won the NBA title. |

The movie was horrible:
-Jar Jar had more dialog than Obi-Wan
-The future Darth Vader shouting "Yippie"
-Lucas putting his daughter with braces in a scene...a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, they wore braces?
-Wasted Samuel L. Jackson, giving him lame dialog, no depth of character
-Cool scenes that gave more depth to the plot were cut (Anakin unleashing his anger on the young Greedo, showing that side of himself; Anakin forshadowing his future with Padme in the telling of a vision, etc).
-the underwater scene went on way too long, then repeated itself over and over.
-Of course, too little Darth Maul, too little Sidious.
-The pod race was lame; the two-headed announcer alien was too earthlike in it's delivery.
-Anakin accidently destroying the control ship was stupid; it would have been very dramatic to have him sense the force, like Luke did destroying the Death Star, with the music swelling as he closes his eyes and is guided by the force to destroy the control ship.
-Jar Jar Binks spreading his filth all over just about every scene. One of the worst characters in modern cinema. Gollum showed Lucas how a CGI character can make a movie, rather than break it.
-At least Revenge of the Sith rocked. |

Well, there were ships that could travel from one place to another in space instantaneously, and AI advanced enough to control these ships, so I guess they could have figured out how to make braces. _________________ Los Angeles Lakers |

revenge of the sith for me. even though its the "3rd" episode its the culmination of all the other ones. the emotion of obi in the last fight really comes through screen. |

Or figured out a less invasive, less visually screwy way to deal with it... |

I like Return of the Jedi the most for some reason. I think ESB, and ROTS were better all around movies though.
Did anyone see the Clone Wars on cartoon network? I loved it, and thought it was better than TPM, and AOTC. Lucas should've made that into a movie. For those who have not seen it, it ties what happened in from episode 2, to episode 3. Shows how Anikin turned into a total bad A**.
1. Return Of The Jedi
2. Empire Strikes Back
3. Revenge Of The Sith
4. A New Hope
5. The Phantom Mennace
6. Attack Of The Clones |

Clone Wars were awesome... They are making more. And there's also going to be a live-action TV series... but I have my reservations about that - unless they hire me as one of the writers. |

The Empire Strikes Back is by far my favorite. I don't know...just the way that everything comes together. Luke isn't as whiny as he is in a New Hope....there aren't any Ewoks. I could go on and on, but The Empire Strikes Back just has everything. _________________ "I define success by championships, by winning..." Kobe Bryant

The Empire Strikes Back is by far the best Star Wars film.
If it wasn't for Obi-Wan/Ewan Mcgregor, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Yoda of course , the new episodes would completely suck. George Lucas is a brilliant creator (I freakin LOVE Star Wars), but a terrible writer
Oh and grown-up Anakin was a whinny bleep and Padme was completely useless. _________________ "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein |

Clone Wars was great, especially the 2nd season.
I wonder what they will do for the new series? Hmmm...
