It wasn't just Bryant's presence, either, as the Kings' third sellout of the season at Arco Arena was due in large part to the raucous Lakers fans who chanted "MVP" for Bryant, just as they had in the March 4 meeting won by the Lakers.
In the Kings' lone win against the Lakers this season (March 9), Artest didn't play in the final 16:26, when Theus said he was going with the players who were playing the best.
"Sometimes I try not to get too amped up (against the Lakers)," Artest said. "I did that against Golden State also, and then I relaxed a little the last time we played Golden State.
"It was overwhelming today. They had so many fans here. … Today was all Lakers (fans)."

Making Sac the (bleep) Bandwagon capitol of the decade!
May they waddle in mediocrity for decades!!! _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |

was thinking about it last night and I guess I'm going to have to agree after hearing people tell me everywhere I go... Lakers are pretty much the Yankees of basketball.
The most popular, most hated team... Pretty much any arena we play in, we have fans in our players' jerseys and we have haters booing us. I can't think of another NBA team where I can say that anywhere I've watched them play on the road, they've had fans there... |

If you really feel at any time that you can't get over the sympathy, try and find some footage from 2000 to about 03 when they started fizzling on out of the picture. Observe the fans...
That should make you feel better!
Try and find that one game where that fan was shaking that (bleep) Cowbell right behind the Laker bench, and Jackson's seat in an attempt to drive Jax crazy...
Whatever happens to the Kings is just fine! _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |

Lol Theus is a gem, he said Artest forced some shot but he saw Kobe did too. Memo to self Reggie " Kobe's team was winning while he was forcing shots (if he did), while Artest's team was losing and he was shooting them out of the game!!! _________________ New Beginings |

I was there representing, and there were so many Laker fans this game. Walking through the area to get food and drinks, Laker fans including myself were saying how it felt like a home game.
Fun game to go to. |

At one point, you can hear the crowd chant LETS GO LAKERS before they were overthrown by boos. |

My favourite moment of the game was when Turiaf airmailed Artest's shiese 3 rows up and Artest had the look of WTF's was that. then a couple minutes later Turiaf decided to remind him by packing his shiese again... _________________ I'm On point, On task, On message, and Off drugs. I don't think it's Lakers bandwagoners (at least in Sac). It's just easier to get tickets now since the Kings aren't winning and Sacramento is not a basketball town. |

Sacramento is not a basketball town? If not, WTF is it? That's the only game in town. _________________ You are under no obligation to remain the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or even a day ago. You are here to create yourself, continuously. - Richard Feynman |

Maybe it was because alot of these fans were actual Laker fans and not band wagoners who happen to buy tickets to watch their favorite team play.
I remember the series we had against Utah in 1998. One of the games was in L.A. and you could hear some fans cheer for Utah. Turns out they were Jazz fans and Brian Russell bought air plane tickets and staples tickets for like 27 of his relatives and friends to fly in and watch the game. _________________ [quote="JUST-MING"] SirRunnethOfSoCal wrote: | Ladies and gents, your 2008 Champs, Boston Celtics!
