Lamar, 3 for 3? WTF Lamar? That's all you threw up?

Lamar didn't take any bad shot tonight and he didn't pass any open look.
I prefer that that forcing a shot and bricking it.

He can take any Jazz big men off the dribble and he wussed out. 2 of his baskets were inside.

We shot 49% for the game and 81% from the line, getting there 9 more times than the Jazz (LO shooting 8 himself), Lamar taking more shots really isn't our biggest concern, gotta cut down the turnovers and make our treys, where we only shot 22% (Lamar actually going 1-1 on shot clock beater, so our shooters actually went below 20% from behind the line).

^ That's the spirit. Let's go Gasol! Time for a bounce back game.

Yes, he was aggressive, he attacked and drew fouls. He was 6-8 from the line thats an aggressive Lamar.

Pau on the other hand...
Pau had a bad game.
He didn't get any call either.
What was a foul on Lakers paint it was a clean stripe or block on Jazz paint, or at least Bavetta and the other old ref tought so.
The youngest one did fine.

Why are people going apesh** over this? Jazz played over their heads and won by 5. We get Gasol to play even a fraction better, and we take this in no more than 6.

We'll be fine
I just think that everybody right now needs to vent a bit. I for one had a feeling about tonights loss. We'll do better next game.
Book it.

Also, gotta give credit where due, Carlos Boozer was a monster to close out the game. He was the best player on the floor in the 4th, grabbing some huge offensive rebounds and making 3 straight contested clutch shots down the stretch.

Dude went to the line 8 times. He took it to the basket.

I agree.
The worst part tonight were turnovers.
Of course other things hurted us: Okur's threys, Boozer mid range jumpers, etc.
But these guys are allstars, it isn't like it's the first time Okur hits his 3points shots or Boozer can't miss anything from 17 ft.
They are good.

Harpering with a big game, 12pts and Sasha with no contribution hurt us

Our bench unit was terrible in the 2nd quarter, led by Farmar but certainly not limited to him. We just couldn't make treys all night - Kobe, Sasha and Farmar were 0-11 combined from behind the line.

We just gotta bounce back, not act like a bunch of little girls. Collect our composure, figure out what went wrong with the turnovers, and start making our treys again.

Kobe, Sasha and Farmar combining to go 0-11 on treys is very, very rarely going to happen, as is Pau getting clearly outplayed by Okur.

Again as great as Utah played and as bad as we played we lost by 6, and could have very well stole this game.

I bet Phil will say something about the refs in his post game conference

BTW, I didn't like Kobe yelling at Luke that way.
Yes, it was a horrible TO, the game was definitely in reach and Luke slipped the ball stupidly, but I didn't like it.
First because everybody commits mistakes. It was Kobe's mistake there was a jump ball in that play, also Kobe just commited a TO and shot two airballs in the last minutes of the game.
Second because I don't think Kobe would have yelled Fisher or Gasol if they have done the exact thing.

We had every opportunity to win this game tonight despite our poor play. We had more turnovers than assist, shot like complete garbage from three, Boozer had easily his best game of the playoffs yet we only lost by 5.

The Jazz knew this was a must win for them and they sure played like it. Nothing went our way tonight and this game was there for the taking. We'll bounce back and take game 4. I wouldn't be surprised if we blew them out honestly. Were gonna hit our threes this time around.

I hope not, the refs are the least of our concerns, we just lost this one down the stretch, Boozer killed us.

Farmar is looking very smush-like and that is disappointing for a guy who is a gym rat and had the look of a competitor.

I've never ever seen that from him before, not like he looked in the 2nd quarter, I doubt we'll see it again.

He might wait until the next round, but you could tell Phil was all over the refs in this game. Just watching him today he was up and down on the bench following the refs.

He didn't, that was about a two minute press conference from Phil

We(the team, not the fans) have not to waste any energy talking or thinking about the refs.
But Bavetta and one of the other two, the oldest one, were absolutely horrible.

I'm praying because he's shown what he's capable of earlier in the season....just not sure what's eating at him.

Maybe when J-Crit got traded he hasn't worked as hard as he was when he was playing well. Hopefully that's not the case

I really don't think that's it, or that there's any big problem with him. Phil said he didn't seem ready because he had to enter the game so early, and never seemed to catch up after that. He did seem flustered a bit, something I can't recall having seen from him before (I've seen him make bad decisions, but not look flustered).
