We really are a dumb team sometimes. Too bad we'll not get a "clean" win and it will be controversial.
Kobe and the rest played like total idiots. I'm getting tired of his hero (bleep). Thought he was over that.
it happened against utah. it happened again tonight against the spurs. i dunno what calculator they are using to do the math and suddenly quitting thinking there's not enough time for the other team to come back. play till the buzzer guys! and f gasol for bungling those 2 shots. and also f kobe for his poor clock management at the end.
so we win and its "*"kobe and "*" gasol for you?
wow... you're being such a moron drew. you did watch the game right? oh wait... you were busy sifting through the 100+ page thread coz you're steaming over being snapped back at. great!! that's very juvenile. gasol missing 2 freethrows and kobe's poor shot clock management almost cost us this game. that's reality. that's fact. 50 seconds in the game up by 7, and gasol bungles 2 freebies. next play spurs makes a 3. then kobe with 18 seconds... i repeat... 18 seconds in the shot clock hurriedly throwing a shot in traffic as if it was a desperation heave. watch the game you idiot. instead of trying to instigate people on the board.
Didn't need to sift through the thread. But there is a search function for that.
Since i believe in the Lakers and their players, I like to mark especially ridiculous comments like yours for reference.
I watched the game. The difference between me and you is that you were foaming at the mouth and wetting your drawers when things got close.
Thats the only difference.
ok drew... whatever makes you feel really good about yourself.

Awesome win, manage to catch the last 5 seconds of the game after watching the first half, can someone explain why Kobe went for a shot from the inbounds pass?
I was too nervous to think about the shot clock so I don't know if there was one or not.
EDIT: The ball grazed the rim but the refs didn't see it, so we had 2 seconds to shoot. _________________ ! Per 100 possessions, we're winning 118-102 with LO on the floor, and losing 109-111 without him. (updated: 4/1/09; source: 82games.com)

Yep....which is why my stance has always been it makes no sense to complain about the refs, or think folks are out to get you. Every team get's breaks. MJ pushing Russell is one of the leagues most coveted highlights....a clear offensive foul.
we were lucky to get away with this win. we continually gave the spurs the chance to just take the game away. we were fortunate that the spurs were dead tired. heck even tony parker was dead tired missing those floaters.
Cut out the name calling dude, you've been doing it all thread to our players and now you're doing it to fellow members. _________________ ! Per 100 possessions, we're winning 118-102 with LO on the floor, and losing 109-111 without him. (updated: 4/1/09; source: 82games.com)
Pop was a bonehead for making Brent making a game deciding play. We're talking about Brent Barry...
Barry killed us all night, it was actually not a bad idea.
The play was designed for Manu, but Sasha shut it down. _________________ ! Per 100 possessions, we're winning 118-102 with LO on the floor, and losing 109-111 without him. (updated: 4/1/09; source: 82games.com)
It was definitely a foul, but since it was on the last play people are overreacting to them blowing the call. Yea the spurs got screwed on that call and it was pretty obvious, but it's something every team deals with because it's well known that refs don't like making those calls to end the game. Spurs got the raw end of the deal on that play, but the lakers didn't exactly get a fair game called before that play.
I am upset that the lakers even let it get that close. That's inexcusable, they got way too comfortable with their lead, Pau missed key FT's, and Kobe rushed that one play. If the refs make the right call there the lakers are likely in OT right now where anything could've happened. Also, why the hell was Fisher playing up on Berry so close when he was about 10 feet behind the 3 pt line?
In the big picture I don't think the spurs were screwed any more than the lakers were, but I don't like seeing them win it like that (with controversy.)
pop and brent says its not a foul. and it was a good nocall... phil says otherwise hahaha
Phil didn't say it was a foul, he said there was contact, that Fish bumped him, but that it was a no-call. There's plenty of contact that happens throughout the game that the refs don't call fouls. Barry should have leaned in and shot into Fisher instead of trying to dribble around him, because at that point Fisher's already in the air and Barry is making a new move so there's no foul, especially with 2 seconds left. _________________ ! Expect by tomorrow media will feast on this no-foul calls but they did not realize that there is a lot of contact and refs was swallowing the whistle when Laker has possession. _________________ "Now it came to me, let the Mamba loose" - KB24 after the game winner Olympic gold interview.
