who cares? he faked it and came back onto the floor pumping up his team and picking up the victory. All that matters... _________________ "I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. It was just the latest chapter in the book of the pussified NBA. I mean, wheelchair? Get the (bleep) out. The L.A. and Boston oldtimers watching the game tonight must have laughed their asses off. |

Well I swear I saw tears in his eyes. I guess alot of it would be because of the fear of not being able to play again in the rest of the finals and hence he wouldn't be able to carry out his responsibilities as a star and the captain of the team, which kinda leads to a player exaggerating as theres a rush of emotion. |

WADE-ESQUE
His play is very similar to Ginobili and Wade. He thrives on seeing his shot go in. He wants to get to the foul line. |

It's a close call. Wade actually had an injury but it was a shoulder and he "couldn't walk"? Pierce had to be carried off the floor (ON NATIONAL TV) put in a wheelchair and then comes bounding back 3 minutes later. I'd give the award to Pierce. That will haunt him. _________________ The heroes of the past are untouchable, protected forever by the fortress door of time-unless some mysterious stranger magically turns up with a key. |

That whole sequence was such a joke, even the most homeristic Boston fan should recognize the sham.
Most of the time when you see guys carried out on a wheelchair, it means at least a 3-4 week minimum hiatus. In Pierce's case, it was more like 3 minutes, ridiculously.
Whats even more sickening is how ABC kept on hyping it up like it was the 2nd coming of Willis Reed. Disgusting. |
