Lakers will get their "home" calls in LA. | And you can sleep at night assured that this will actually happen after tonight's fiasco? With D. Stern at the helm, you are confident about this? |

Some Laker fans ALWAYS looking for excuses when the Lakers lose. It could be that the other team is better, plays better defense, rebounds better???
In the playoffs the home team usually gets the benefit of the doubt on calls or have people forgotten about Fisher fouling Barry in a crucial moment of a game for a no call. That is part of the game. Happens year in and year out. Good teams overcome this. Celtics held serve and now the Lakers MUST do the same thing at hom. _________________ Let them HATE so long as they FEAR! |

There shouldn't be any "home" calls... PERIOD. Officiating should be even through the game. Doesn't matter what court you're on, what city you're in. You have the officials be completely one-sided and be okay with that. That's stupid. _________________

Happens year in and year out. Good teams overcome this. Celtics held serve and now the Lakers MUST do the same thing at hom. | First of all, the Celts only started "outplaying" the Lakers when 3 starters ended up on the bench with 2 fouls each, 8 minutes into the game. Even mark Jackson was saying how iffy the foul calls were at that point. From there, it went into ridiculous mode and the Lakers weren't allowed to do anything.
Second - Fisher didn't foul Barry. Barry travelled first. I thought we've all gone over this. Besides that, SA got the calls all game long.
I don't buy this home court refs BS. I'm smarter than that. It shouldn't matter where the game is being played. A foul is a foul, call it both ways. The calls were NOT consistent tonight at all. Powe's stat line shows that fairly well. He didn't deserve half of those. |

But in the real world teams get home calls. Lakers like every team get their fair share and it tends to even out. Teams that rebound, play defense, put the ball in the hole the best generally win out inspite of the refs. If the refs were that bad why do some people even watch the games if the outcomes are a foregone conclusion??
Refs are human and they have players and teams they like better than others. That is just how it is. Teams that constantly whine about the refs invariable NEVER win rings like the Kings. _________________ Let them HATE so long as they FEAR! |
