Does it matter??? Duncan at times guarded Shaq in previous playoff seasons. And he did a hell of a good job sometimes too.

But he never played an entire year banging in the trenches aganist the big boys, espicially with out another big to back him up. "At times" is nothing compared to banging 82 plus. Lets see how well he does with out another big behind him banging aganist centers all year.

Oh, I see, Nazr and Rasho are really taking a ton of pressure off of poor Tim. How dare the Spurs try to play TWO decent big men at the same time? After all, instead of guarding KG, Dirk, Brand, Cwebb, Rasheed, Gasol, and Amare, he could be guarding the likes of Chris Mihm, Jerome James, Lorenzen Wright, Ben Wallace and Chris Kaman. If he played center, he would play 6 games against real centers who would be tough for him (Yao and Shaq). Instead he plays PF in the West, and faces near all-star talent for about 30 games a year.

His team is better off with him playing PF. If Popovich thought the team would benefit by having Tim shut down a scrub center every night, then he would ask Tim to do that, and you know he wouldn't refuse. If he did play center, haters like you would probably complain that Tim doesn't play against the more talented power forwards of the league.

Haha, so true.

Ripped from the thread going about Mihm vs. other centers:

Phoenix - Amare Stoudemire (29.2/+11.2)
Houston - Yao Ming (24.9/+10.3)
Sacramento - Brad Miller (22.0/+4.7)
Utah - Mehmet Okur (20.2/+5.4)
Denver - Marcus Camby (19.3/+3.0)
Seattle - Danny Fortson (19.1/+4.2)
Dallas - Erick Dampier (16.6/+1.0)
LA Lakers - Chris Mihm (16.2/+0.8)
San Antonio - Nazr Mohammed (15.8/-3.0)
Memphis - Lorenzen Wright (15.4/-0.7)
LA Clippers - Chris Kaman (14.1/-2.2)
Golden State - Adonal Foyle (13.6/-3.5)
New Orleans - Jamaal Magloire (13.5/-2.0) *Injuried much of season
Minnesota - Michael Olowokandi (11.3/-2.0)
Portland - Theo Ratliff (11.2/-4.8)

Besides Amare, who's really a PF, what a lineup of scrub centers in the WC. "Banging in the trenches against the big boys" would be guarding WC PF's, like Tim does most of the time.
