I agree Rhody and I remember that last season most people were saying that he might not be as good as most people thought. I think everyone put him much higher on their list because Kobe didn't want him included. We all know what happens when Kobe plays GM.

We'll be fine, we just have to make a move for legit 3. Artest to LA and we have the title next year, book it.

I know bro , but what im trying to say all these moves going on are making the chances of lakers wining the title less , while lakers are doing nothing to make the chances of wining more ( if that made sense ).

I hope , i pray we can get Artest , but i just dont see it happening

Season just got over for the Lakers!! What do you want them to do trade their whole team. Offseason just started. Lakers got Gasol for their first round--no biggie. Lakers are winning it all next year. It's all part of the master plan.

Please. Lakers were a healthy Bynum and Ariza from beating down the Celtics. Get real.

Im not saying were not the favorites of wining or that we dont have a chance , im saying our chances are getting less

Slow draft (cause we have like... about a million picks until we draft), but good thread so far at least. I love the draft because of how it changes the landscape of the NBA. It's great that every year, teams are gauranteed to change in a significant way.

Portland is scary too. When the Lakers make it out of the West I hope they have enough in the tank. The EC champ is going to be less beat up every time.

Young team that played very well. They add Oden and Bayless. They will be contenders for a decade.

I wonder if they'd be desperate enough to take Luke?

Portland's GM is good. They're going to be our rivals for the next decade.

The Lakers offseason is like 9 days old. Just relax.

Not that I disagree, but lets see them make the playoffs first... as for us, we're already at "how can we win next year's ring?" I like our position better.

How so?? You have NO clue what moves the Lakers may or may not make. WHO thought the Lakers would EVER get Gasol when they got him last year. The Lakers don't necessarily need to do anything until the trade deadline perhaps.

Until they actually make playoffs and prove they can win there, they aren't a contender. Lets wait and see before you piss your pampers.

Bayless is a gunner. If they think he's going to play combo guard, I think they'll be mistaken. I watch a lot of PAC-10 games and I thought he played selfishly. But that team was full of selfish ballers. We'll see, but I'm not worried.

My guy was Westbrook. Even when his stock was low (projected late teens), I mentioned that I'd give Farmar plus $3 million for him. I'd even include certain body parts, but they wouldn't clear the CBA trade rules.

Howland really found a diamond in the rough in Westbrook. Not many teams were even seriously looking at the kid out of high school. He was supposed to be a quick fix for Farmar's early departure.

Don't they already have a combo guard in Roy?
