Dude, carnival food is terrible for you but awesome. Deep fried everything!

TACH you don't like corn dogs? What's not to like? I don't even bother waiting for the fair. Corn dogs are awesome year round.

A deep fried Twinkie basically just tastes like a donut. A deep fried Oreo is just plain awesome. At the L.A. County Fair, they even have a booth that sells deep fried Coke. Basically, it's just batter that's been flavored with Coke (and then frozen). It's deep fried and then they pour Coke fountain syrup on top. How that didn't make the list, I dunno.

Also, where's funnel cake (aka "elephant ears" in some places)? That's standard carnival food that's likely way worse for you than cotton candy. Drizzle batter into a deep fat fryer, pull it out and dump a bunch of sugar on it. That can't be healthy.

I hate corn dogs...

Fried Coke is a new one me as well.... HoLy S... who the hell came up with that recipe?

Funnel Cakes were on the list (I think 5 or 6).... I like those, but can only eat a bite or two before I become nauseated...

Some guy in Texas came up with the fried coke recipe.

Oops, yeah I missed funnel cakes. This thread is making me look forward to the L.A. County Fair. Sept. 5-28, mark your calendars!

Fried Coke is frozen Coca-Cola-flavored batter which is deep-fried and then topped with Coca-Cola syrup, whipped cream, cinnamon sugar, and a cherry. It was introduced by inventor Abel Gonzales, Jr., at the 2006 State Fair of Texas, where it won the title of "Most Creative" in the second annual judged competition among food vendors.[1][2] It proved very popular in Texas, selling 10,000 cups in the first two weeks, and is now being adopted as a snack by fairs in North Carolina as well as Arizona. It is also very popular in California.

Fried Coke is estimated to have 830 calories

My gawd man.... and you can stomach that concoction? You are a better man than me... more power to you. My blood sugar is rising just reading this thread.

Negative. Even I have my limits. Aside from how gross it sounds, it's made from disgusting Coke.

No, but I'm sure I'd like it more than the Coke version. I hate the taste of Coke.

Strange, for me it's the opposite - it's the taste and sweetness about Pepsi that I don't like... it's the "burning" (for lack of a better word) sensation that Coke gives the throat that I love. Maybe it's more carbonated or something...

Count me in as another corn dog hater. I would much rather just eat a hot dog by itself or in a bun rather than coat it in all that cornmeal breaded stuff.

I'm not a big funnel cake fan. I'd rather have an elephant ear. The only good thing about the Art Fair that invades Ann Arbor (coming in about three weeks) is the elephant ear stand is set up right outside the building I work in.

the only thing on the list that I'd eat is the Sno Cone.
