Yeah our B2Bs look brutal.
we have 16 b2b, they have 14. get over it. east is weak, you should expect celtics to have the best record again.

I can't wait to destroy the Blazers on opening night, and the Celtics on Christmas day. That schedule maker must be some sort of mathematical genius, his job sounds near impossible... _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

The Lakers have 19 B2Bs, 12 of which have them playing the 2nd half against teams that made the playoffs last year.
I wasn't even speaking about the Celtics. But for comparison they have 17 B2Bs, and only 8 of which have them playing the 2nd half against teams that made the playoffs last year.
Hey guys, I just checked the schedule for the UPCOMING season and it says there are 19 back-to-backs. I just read some people saying its 16 and it’s obviously wrong. I think we probably have the most back-to-backs in the entire league. Just can't get it, I mean back-to-back games have a profound impact on the overall record of teams. Imagine an EC team having 15 back-to-backs and a WC team (i.e. the Lakers) having 19 back-to-backs. It's not just fair.
We're good enough these days to handle back to backs. Kobe no longer has to completely carry the team. So, there shouldn't be as much of a letdown on the second night.
I haven't looked but do we have any Staples/Clippers games that fall on back to backs?

The very first one in fact. Oct 28 at home vs Portland and the 29th "on the road" vs the Clippers. Then again on Jan 21 and 22: at the Clippers then home vs. the Wizards. _________________ Game recognize game, Granddad. - Riley Freeman, The Boondocks

OMG, Stern hates the Nets cuz they're moving to Brooklyn, the Hawks cuz they let Childress go to Europe, and the Kings cuz he wants them to move to Las Vegas! And he loves the Warriors cuz they play fast ball! [/conspiracy]
Just did the math and the league average is 19.2 B2Bs, so we're a tad bit lower. _________________ Double rings > Double rainbow
I used to worry about the schedules when we had Kwame and Smush in the starting lineup. I thought we needed a favorable schedule to have a shot at the playoffs like we did 2 years ago. But once you get to that elite level and build chemistry as a team it really doesnt matter. As long as we are healthy we will be a 55 to 60 win team.

Yeah I hate it when Lakers have an easy schedule to start the season. I like it better when the schedule is tough to start the season after having the summer off. And then have it easy toward the end after a long season.
If it is, then getting back to the Finals isn't happening.

Two posts that say all that needs to be said. _________________ Double rings > Double rainbow
I think the easy early schedule is a good thing, considering that Bynum will be playing his first games since the knee injury, Kobe will have missed most or all of training camp, and our big 3 will be playing together for the first time.
Thanks for the breakdown Exick. It should have taken some time. Then again, look, Celtics have 17 B2B, and they play in the east. Imagine this hypothetical situation: the Celtics play a weak EC team and they are up by 25 by the half, they rest their starters for the 2nd half. The night after they have a B2B with a rather strong team with their main players fresh due to short minutes.
The advantage such teams have is that they play more poor teams with a fewer number of B2B. I wonder if the league could do something to normalize such situations.
Now, look at the Warriors, they play with a run and gun style and being tired has a big impact on their offence. They have only 15 B2Bs. Now the already crappy Wolves have 22 B2Bs, 7 MORE than the Warriors. The same goes for the poor Grizzlies.
Again thanks god that we are actually under the league average for B2Bs. With the deep team that we have our guys should be able to handle them. _________________

Boston, LA, Cleavland, and Phoenix all have 25 appearances, most in the NBA. Dallas is next with 21.
I wonder how the Mavs get 21 freaking games on national TV and a good and fun to watch team like the Hornets gets only 12.The Spurs (19) and Suns (25) are also too high for my like. Toronto has only 2 games. Too low I believe. _________________

The schedule looks good. Lakers can get off to a strong start and get ready for the playoffs better with road heavy late schedule. I'm gonna go ahead and predict 62 wins.
