I liked his athleticisim and flashiness. I hope he's playing the Point Guard spot, though...

You never know. Guys like Mike Penberthy and Jannero Pargo were supposed to be camp fodder.

Could be.

Not sure if you know this or not, but every single team in the league has guys like that.

Remember how well James White played for the Spurs last year?

Mike does not even play in the league no more. Pargo did not do well with Lakers... Maybe it was triangle, maybe not.

Cool. He looked like the most athletic player on our team this summer. He can really fly.

The point I was making is that they were seen as camp fodder but actually made the team.

Why didn't Mitch sign Gerald Green instead of this guy when he had the chance??? Green is a much better and more athletic guard!

Green has Kwame Brown type work ethic...meaning he has none.

The kid is talented, but theres a reason he's been on 4 different teams during his short NBA stint.

I was a big Profit fan.

Before he got hurt, I really felt he'd be an excellent starter next to Kobe in the T.
He was a very effective/long defender with size (6-5) and athleticism who could handle, pass, was unselfish, had a nice post-up game and his shot was pretty good. He wasn't a "point guard," but he seemed to be a pretty smart player with a fairly complete game.

Didn't the Lakers almost draft this kid (or at least showed some interest in him)? Why not give him a chance and see how he does? I mean they were always after Ron Artest which is much bigger head case than this kid has ever been!!!

I heard he turned down the sign and trade because he didn't want to part with the Charlotte 2nd rounder and was worried about what it would do for Farmar's confidence.

I wonder if they're going to sign Elton Brown (?). He was a PF that they brought to camp last year and Phil said he liked him.
