I actually liked all the movies above, minus juno. I just think they are way overrated.

AKA "movies that I like, but shouldn't be on the IMDB 250"
I'll think of more, don't you worry.

No Country I refrained from putting, because truthfully I didn't understand it completely. That's not the movies fault but my own.

Matrix I'll never see since I already know I'll think it's overrated.

it doesn't really work for me. i mean it's sort of entertaining. Zemeckis is no dummy behind the camera. i just don't like what the movie has to say really.

I agree with that. Visually, the effects were great; the movie as a whole, weak.

Dark Knight is not overrated...I think it deserves all the hype. One of the best movies ever (not saying its the best, but definitely up there).

Meh, there are many people who are willing to make some of the better films of the 90s into their "gutsy" picks. American Beauty gets lambasted in a similar vain. Private Ryan as well -- Spielberg's style drives a lot of people up a wall, doesn't mean he's not a top notch filmmaker.

If PF and GF are overrated, I wanna see the NOT overrated films of late. We're swimming in a pool of romantic comedies, CGI fantasyscapes, superhero remakes, and coming of age teen flicks that make the 80s variety look poignant by comparison.

Look here's the thing with me. I don't find many movies overrated because I DONT SEE MOVIES I DONT LIKE If you have seen 300 and think it is overrated, you have no right to complain!

It definitely was good, but I think it's ridiculous to think it's at the top. I'm not a fan of the genre though.

I like these films and I think they are good, I just think they aren't classics like some people say.

And yes I agree there are a lot of garbage movies being made these days.
