More money for the fighters if a title is on the line. From the UFC perspective, they want a title fight to headline events. The new regime does love them some interim belts...'YOU GET A BELT! YOU GET A BELT!"
Well, that's a great ancillary benefit for the combatants (which you know I'm always in favor of) although I highly doubt that's the company's motivation here. And your second point is completely on it. I still just really don't get it. The whole thing is kind of a cluster(cuss). And that's largely my frame of reference whilst arguing this aspect of their governing.

The UFC is stripping Ferguson of the interim belt, if they fight at a catch weight, then there would be no need to strip him and Kabob would NOT be winning anything (assuming he wins)...!
I do see that rationale too but, simultaneously, Tony's legit injured. So why does he get stripped? I can see that I'm just being unreasonably tense and annoyed by this but I just got a thing about hypocrisy and double standards. This fight was always just the precursor to an absolutely global megafight (assuming the favorite won). Which I think we all not only understand but all wanted badly.
So, I just don't know why it's so problematic for them to be forthright about it. There's a double-standard for McG and, IMHO, there should be. I'm not hating on or disagreeing with that. It's the same reason why Showtime, then HBO pimped Ricky Hatton so hard in boxing. And it's why the UFC is set on paving the path in a gold tint for D Till.
Nothing wrong with that from a business standpoint. I'd just like a little transparency. _________________ We back.
They're also stripping Tony because Khabib wouldn't fight unless it's for the title, and assuming khabib wins they want khabib v conor. If Tony kept interim he would be next in line

That makes sense from Khabib's standpoint. I still think he fights since the injury was such a freak event. 8 week camp and a payday take precedence. But that's enough of my diatribe on this. _________________ We back.

yeah that would have been a great bargaining chip because fight camps aren't cheap!

have you guys been watching embedded?
I have. It’s why I’m becoming such a Max fan. And why I’m picking Thug Rose in a hotly contested back and fort battle. And I think Khabib is hilarious. Did they cover his hallway confrontation against the GOAT? _________________ We back.

Apprantly lord Artem was too powerful for the cameras cuz I’ve only seen it from that one guy’s cell phone vid and not the high def cams lol
Man (bleep) Conor. He is a bleeping idiot. I hope he goes away for good. Dana should sue him but he is probably still hoping Conor comes crawling back.
