It must been Jesus that didn't want him to fight.

So Machida is going to get the title shot now? Awesome.

Even better. I'd like to see Machida win and rule his division for some time, but at his age, I'll settle for him being only the 3rd multi-division champ in UFC history.

I'm happy this thread was bumped.

Just wondering.

Who do you guys think wins between Cormier/Jon Jones?

I think as good as Cormier looked, and he has a huge power advantage now at LHW (Because lets face it, even slimmer those fists and punches are just as strong it would seem) ... I think Jon Jones would probably be able to beat him with his speed.

Who would you guys pick? That would be just an awesome fight. Hoping JJ can get past Tex and then fight Cormier.

I saw nothing amazing from Cormier so far.
His striking doesn't look really good I think. Power but his technic isn't that good.
I don't favor a lot of guys against Jones, Cormier included. I see Jones.

as long as she doesn't get hit, she's probably right.

The was obviously just kidding around with the radio host when you look at it in context, though I have no doubt she could win.

She would have great chances.

Like when a journalist asked Fedor who would win before him and Tyson, and he basically said that it would be very hard for Tyson because he knows wrestling and painful submissions.

It's always the same. If the boxer land a punch early, it could be over. But other than that, it would be very hard.

From what I know Mayweather has great footwork so it would be hard to reach him, but if Rousey grabs ahold of him, it's over even before he hits the ground. Judo throw, armbar, over.

If you think Hendricks beat GSP, then you cant have Hendricks winning this fight. You just can't have it both ways. GSP won by the 10 point must system. If it had been judged as a whole, off of damage like Pride was, then Hendricks would have won that fight.

Now Hendricks won this fight by the 10 point must system. If it had been judged off damage, Lawler wins this going away.

Remember when Hendricks said (about GSP) "Look at his face, you tell me who won". Well Johny, doesn't look like Lawler has a scratch on him and take a look at YOUR mug. LOL

I think pretty much everyone agrees round 1-2 were Hendricks and 3-4 were Lawler. Round 5 was very close, and Hendricks won it with control. I'd like to see a rematch, but I don't think this fight was nearly as controversial as GSP's last title defense.

I don't disagree that Hendricks won the fight, but he got his ass kicked, just like GSP did.

I agree, sort of. Lawler did more damage overall, but it wasn't as uneven as GSP-Hendricks was. I hope Lawler gets a rematch very soon.

With the rumors of GSP making a return and Nick Diaz fighting again, WW is the most exciting division right now. I'm really bummed about Condit's injury tonight.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Everyone knows GSP bruises like a peach, but was he in ANY kind of trouble at all in the fight? Lawler had Hendricks pretty much out on his feet in both the 3rd AND 4th rounds, and he was stumbling around like a zombie. Big props to him for surviving however!
