JJ should not move up.. if he's smart. |
No he wouldn't. Cormier is just as strong as Cain and has better wrestling yet he couldnt get more than 1 TD. Jones is a beast and is the best fighter in the world regardless of weight. Only thing Cain has over Cormier is gas tank, in almost all other areas Cormier is slightly superior. Jon beats Cain at HW. |
you may be underestimating Cain.. the dude is a beast. sure he hasn't fought in a while.. but his G&P is like no other… against heavy weights.
jones is not a legit heavy weight.. but then again.. we've never seen the dude on his back.. so who knows what he can do.
Gas tank is how Bones beat Comier.. DC just didn't have it in him after the 2nd round. Cain would go 5 rounds no problem.
gotta remember the way he slammed JDS and pounded him out.. |
Only reason he was able to pound out JDS in those last 2 fights was because of JDS terrible standup defense allowing Cain to land monster shots early on that he never could recover from. Jones has great standup defense and way longer range. Jones naturally walks around at 225 and could probably lean bulk to 235 while Cain is 240. Not a huge weight difference imo. It'd be a close fight but I see Jones picking Cain apart in the championship rounds. Close fight but I got Jones with the edge because of his versatility. |
theres a difference between able to bulk up to 225 and being in optimum fighting shape at 225.... nevermind 235. Thats asking alot right now but maybe once he's off the coke he can naturally start to fill out his frame more |

Coke dude? Really?
Guy went straight to the hard stuff.
He tested positive on the 4th of December. I saw an interview with him with Helwani dated on the 31st. Jones was going up and down how he had all his (bleep) together etc. I'm a HUGE fan of his too.
What're you doing man... |

McGregor is legit, and that was a decent performance, but he'll get beat easily by Aldo. |

Yeah, I don't think Aldo loses. Just meant I like the guy as a fighter and personality. |

Connor will do for Aldo what Chael did for Anderson -- turn a dominating Brazilian champ who speaks little to no English (and sells PPVs poorly) into a megastar. |

Gustafsson vs Johnson tonight - Great match. Jon Jones must be happy, knowing that the guy with the best chance to beat him has to go up against a killer like Johnson tonight. Rest of the card is really solid. |

Time to hang it up Dan. Terrible stoppage regardless but realistically Gegard would've put him away right there.

Hendo has been done for a while. He is still a big name and adds some cache to the undercard. In return, he gets a payday and a little ref protection, apparently. We'll see him one more time, IMO. |

I think A "Rumble" Johnson is the first serious threat to J "Bones" Jones title. |

He basically walked right through Gustaffson's kick in order to land that first shot that rocked Gus. Jones has the length obviously but his shots that land better count. Rumble's shots were grazing and they still blasted Gus. Gus is no joke either. |

I think we will see how well rumble can wrestle because standing in front of him is not the best game plan. |

unless Tyson had elite takedown defense i think he would lose a vast majority of fights. |
