I never seen him huff and puff so much before. the other dude was (bleep) smart lving there getting adjusted to it for months. Plus cain was on a long ass lay off due to injury. Not saying Cain would have still won, but anyone could see that a guy who doesnt gas gassed fast. |

Until last night, we'd also only seen him fight 2 different guys in the last 5 years. The last time he'd beaten someone different, the light weight guys were still in the WEC.
Donald Cerrone has fought 18 times since then. |

To be fair there is no way in hell Heavyweights should be fighting like smaller guys. Cerrone might end up with head trauma issues later in life! looks awesome now, but them head blows will catch up to him. |

Still Cain has 12 of his 13 wins by KO or stoppage, that is impressive.
It is hard for any MMA fighter to return after a 20 month layoff.. period.
And unless you are a champion, NO MMA fighter coming off a 20-month layoff is going to fight the #1 ranked person in their division.
It baseball and basketball a player who has been rehab'ing typically spends some time in the minor leagues to get their timing and so-forth back.
I'm not a Cain fan, but this might have been predictable, give the guy some time to get back in the flow, have a tune-up fight against a Top 15 fighter and then put him back in with Werdum, I would expect to see a better fight!
The UFC should allow their champions who are returning for any injury-related lay-off in which surgery was involved and lasting 9 months or longer to have a non-title tune up fight before resuming as the champ. _________________ “Always remember... Agree, which is why I'm against interim titles. Cain should have been stripped, then he could have come back and had a tune-up fight like Cruz. |

Jose Aldo has to be the dumbest fighter on the planet. He's awesome, probably #1 P4P, yet he ALWAYS gets hurt before a fight. He (bleep) about his pay incessantly (Chael recently said on a podcast that Jose's yet to sell enough PPV's to get into points territory), so what does the UFC do? Give him McGregor, a guy he should starch. They spend millions promoting the fight and do a world tour. The PPV is expected to do UFC 100-level buys. The best comparison here is Chael elevating Anderson's drawing power. Jose stands to make millions, and two weeks before the fight he gets his ribs busted up training too hard. The fight is now off, and McGregor will fight Mendes.
Jose, take a long look in the mirror because you only have yourself to blame here. I for one am sick of him always pulling out of fights and am done watching him. |

^ Just saw that. This is BRUTAL for the UFC - They spent so much money and time promoting the fight. They went all over the world just to promote this.
I'll tell you one thing, though. Mendes is NOT a good matchup for McGregor. He will out-wrestle him, and put him on his ass whenever he feels like it. |

Weak. Man, they went over the top with the promotion. Two weeks...Dana is probably livid.
I can't confirm this but I'm reading he's pulled out of 6 of the last 8 events? Get your ish together buddy. |

Yeah.. he's pulled out of like 5 straight title defense main events. Dude needs to sort out his training regimen and act like a professional. You don't see the Alpha Male guys pull out like this because they train properly and don't get injured. I can't find the article right now, but TAM had the lowest injury % and Nova Uniao had the highest %. They're both small guy camps, too. |

Mendez was just destroying McGregor on the ground, and Connor gets up and beats the (bleep) out of him. |

That's crazy I thought Conor was taking a beating then he got up like nothing. Not sure why they made this a interim title fight. Was Aldo really that hurt? |

Great card
Lawler/McDonald is probably fight of the year, time to make Condit/Lawler
Conor's TDD got exposed but he's tough and found a way to finish to fight on the feet.
Chael is saying that Aldo prob won't fight Conor next, either Edgar/Faber will fight him......... |

His loss. Conor fought injured and this PPV is likely going to eclipse the numbers of UFC 100. |
