Lol, I didn't want to be the first one to say it. Just for any gamblers out there, words already out that Dos Anjos is looking a little deflated these days. USADA is a (bleep).

Aldo looked a lot more deflated than usual too. USADA is definitely doing work.

hmm.. I didn't think he looked too bad.. he's always had a hard time cutting.

I think it was a combo of ring rust and just getting caught.
At first, I thought it was an early stoppage... watching the replay though... it was a good stoppage.. Aldo would have gotten hammer fisted brutally if the ref didn't stop it.

i would like to see a rematch. but not right away. I think Edgar earned it... and I think Edgar can beat Conner.

If Conor gets his way the next fight will be for the lightweight championship.

Looking at him and knowing he walks around at around 170, fighting in the lightweight division makes sense, but not sure he'd be able to dominate the guys in that class so easily.

Personally, I hope Aldo does get his rematch straight-away. He can clearly do better than that, and will hopefully he hungry to prove it was just a mistake or lucky shot, should make for the fight we all wanted to see in the first place

Guys in the lightweight have not fought a guy with Conor's precision and movement.

I think someone like Anthony Pettis has equally good movement, I'd love to see those 2 fight.

Dos Anjos looks like a terror out there and I'll admit to having to eat crow with the USADA/PED implications. It'll be interesting though...a forward moving pressure fighter against an elusive counter-puncher.

Dos Anjos with a vicious knee to start it off, then the body kick, then just pounded him. I was impressed by the performance.

Also impressed by Overeem, that left hook was perfectly placed, and he did a great job of using kicks to keep Junior at bay all fight long.

Cowboy was circling the wagons, at least he lasted longer than 13 seconds, he is NOT a Top 5 guy, Top 10 maybe...

that decision was a bunch of crap.

Condit deserved the title.

that 5th round was great though.

what were these judges watching?

That was bogus. Carlos could've have ran in the last 2 minutes and won that. Ridiculous.

Two judges gave Robbie the third, which was the difference. A total joke since Condit dominated the strikes in that round.

This makes two absolutely gift decisions Robbie has won as champ.

Yeah I gotta go with the guys above, I thought Condit did enough to win, but the old saying of never leave it to the judges unfortunately rings true for him in this fight.

Was a really good fight to watch, the 5th round was unreal, hats off to Condit for showing his chin. Not sure anyone else in the division would've been able to hang in there and take that punishment.

I thought Condit clearly won rounds 1, 3 and 4. He actually controlled good portions of rounds 2 and 5 as well but was hit with some great power punches by Lawler. I like that Condit stayed classy in defeat, and with Lawler talking about doing the fight again, I think he realized that he may have been gifted the decision.

It's official: Conor McGregor vs. Rafael dos Anjos, Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate set for UFC 197

Quote:
There will be two title fights headlining UFC 197 on March 5 in Las Vegas, it was officially announced Tuesday on UFC.com.

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor will move up and challenge Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight title in the main event and Holly Holm will make her first title defense against Miesha Tate in the co-main.

McGregor (19-2) will try to make history at UFC 197. No other fighter has held two different UFC belts at the same time. Two men, B.J. Penn and Randy Couture, won belts in two different divisions, but not consecutively. Penn was the UFC lightweight champion in 2009 and moved up to fight welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre for that title, but lost.

I love this fight...McGregor is starting to be like the Floyd Mayweather of MMA... if he wins this fight, he'll become really big.

He is legit, Dos Anjos has size and power unlike anyone Conor will have fought before.

That being said Conor is big for his current weight class, so he won't give up any size, it'll also make for an easier weight cut.

Rafael sure was vicious against Cowboy, I feel like him and Conor could be a great fight.
