Nunes will make close to a mil with PPV shares. Ronda will make 5+ probably more |

Loved the fight scene with Michelle Rodriguez in Furious 7.
I think Ronda should quit. She's not a bad looking woman. That won't last if she keeps getting hit in the face like she did tonight.
She's got around 7 million in the bank. Get into acting and invest well. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Just glad this hype with Rousey is over and we can get back to business.

Yeah, who couldn't see this coming?
The women's side of the sport was still in its infancy (developmentally speaking) so while Rousey's run was impressive, it lacked that perspective. Which was one that that only time could bring. And boy how that gap closed up on her. That year away saw a bit of evolution as more well rounded fighters began to emerge. All that hyping and, as it turns out, over inflation of Ronda's all-time status was a false reality that she unfortunately attached her self worth to. _________________ We back. |

I've rewatched this "fight" several times already....seeing as how it was only 48 seconds.....and she did little if anything but act like a punching bag for Nunes punches. |

Weird, it didn't look like Rousey was even trying. Just like standing there and giving 50% |

I was real happy Cody beat Cruz, I always hated Cruz's style, how he throws those big looping punches, while backing away, but no one could solve him until tonight...!
Don't really care to watch women fighting, so Rhonda can ride off in the sunset for all I care, now if the loser of womens' fights had to drop her top, then I might be more interested... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

Fighting sports have always been a trip to my inner child
A school teacher who goes to work every day dealing with children who lack loyalty and respect and who have incredibly insane families earns less than 100k for THE WHOLE YEAR
Some boxer/fighter (our vicarious creation) earns FIVE PLUS MILLION dollars for trying to beat a human being into unconsciousness
Thank you society
I live in Colorado and was driving North on 93 tonight.. still marveling at how our super hero cops and judges built themselves a majestic domed sanctuary/justice center http://colorado-dui.com/parts/Images/jeffco.jpg
Money spent on children and families before anyone becomes a criminal is far better spent but don't let our human thirst for authority and totalitarianism hear that... http://www.prisonexp.org/ |

Ronda got destroyed. It looked like it was her first fight ever. She looked an amateur. Needless to say her career is done. Nunes looked waaayyy bigger than her too.
I think losing so badly will affect her acting career too. She's not that great at it. Most of her value to a film came from her mystique and persona. Now that no one really thinks of her as a beast anymore I don't see what she really brings to a role anymore. Better pay for some big time acting lessons.
Also I was really shocked to see Cody outcruz Cruz! You can tell Dominick was not expecting him to be patient like that |

Ronda got scared the moment that first shot landed, and credit to Nunes because she was ruthless and went in for the kill. Amanda has a very good striking game, showed some good precision, her stand up is far superior to Ronda's.
Put a hundred on Nunes last night too, feeling quite smug about it this morning
Didn't think Cody would win, but he really dominated Cruz, _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Rhonda main strength is/was wrestling, but after she knocked out a few opponents, she started thinking she was a boxer/puncher and by trying to stand toe-to-toe with REAL boxers is why she lost her last two matches.
I think she will retire and move on to other things in her life, but IF she continues, she needs to fight a fighter ranked 7 -15 and IMMEDIATELY grab them, throw them on the mat and try to finish them!

I have no idea why she decided to go toe to toe with a boxer.......pretty dumb move. Nowhere in the last fight did I see her attempt to go to the ground game, where she could utilize her strengths. |

Ronda always had a huge size and strength advantage over her opponents. Watch that second fight against Tate. It wasn't technique that won her that fight. It was her ability to judo throw Meisha like a rag doll every time they were in a clinch and to overwhelm her with strength on the ground. Ronda always wound up on top, and was always able to grab an arm. Even after Tate stunned her with strikes, if she closed the gap, Meisha would just get grabbed and thrown back to the floor. I know Rousey owns world class judo skills but those fights were far less about balance and more about her being able to bully fighters as she wished. But now, that large strength advantage she had no longer exists.
After foolishly tying to box against Holmes, Ronda did make a serious attempt for a takedown. But she not only couldn't pass Holly's sprawl, she wound up getting taken down herself. And by an obvious avoid-going-to-the-ground-at-all-costs kind of fighter. And that was after Rousey had pinned Holmes against the cage too.
Sure Ronda made some terrible tactical mistakes that night for certain but, had that been any of the previous fighters she'd faced, that first takedown attempt and battle against the cage would have ended up swinging the tide of or ending it in her favor.
So even if she tried better head movement, kept better distance and only lurked to catch a takedown shot or clinch, I honestly feel that she hits a bit of a wall with her normal strengths and the fight inevitably goes back to the feet. Only at that point, she's getting gassed. For all the talk about Nunes not being able to stay strong for 3 rounds, hasn't Ronda only gone to the second? It's obvious her time past just on an athletic level. Now factor in all the mental stuff she's had going on and the crap coaching too, I honestly go back to my original question, "Why did she take this fight again?"
I do pray for her personal and emotional well being. This was a major fall front the heights she perched 13 months ago. _________________ We back. |
