I hope Derek Anderson comes here. Cause if he goes to Houston, he ain't gonna get the starting job. And the Lakers offered him more money.

It wasn't exactly splitting hairs for McKie to accept $2.5M instead of the $1.1M from the Nets.

Getting McKie is fine. But why did the Lakers offer him so much considering he was very close to taking New Jersey's offer of 1.1 mil before the Lakers came into play.
