Amare or KG???

I would of gotten laughed at and teased if I posted this poll before last season , but considering the both guys careers at this point which one of these guys is the better player to have on your team from this point on and why?

I will be away from my comp for a while but I am very intrigued by this poll , I can't wait to tally the votes after work!

For the record I vote for Amare as well considering his age and upside!

The kid is going to get better and thats SCARY AS HE!!

Amare -- more of a low-post game, brings balance to our offense; more of the low-post defender we need, although KG will defend anybody anywhere... just not for prolonged periods in the post.

Not that I'd dump KG into the trash can if he was a consolation prize or anything.

Right now? KG

Amare isn't close to as good of a defender or rebounder, and Garnett is a much more versatile offensive player.

KG.

22, 14, 6, 1.5 SPG, and 1.4 BPG.

Yeah, I'll take that, over 80+ games the past 7 or so years no less.

In the short run - KG. Still one of the best all-around players.
Can score, rebound, defend, block and run 'n' gun with younger players.
Absolutely would have been better than KB-Shaq had we got him a couple years ago (yes folks... swapping KG with Shaq!... but too late huh?)

Amare is good for longer plan because of his age and fast development.
But I still think with KG, we'll have two of the best defensive and offensive weapons in the league. That should be scarrier than Kobe/Shaq.

KG. We know what we'd get out of him. He's a better rebounder, better all-around game, and he seems to want that ring more than anything else at this point of his career. Amare has become really good, but he is still getting better and we don't know just how good he'll become when he reaches his prime.

KG has a much better all around game. He can handle the rock, shoot more accurately from the perimeter, has much better passing skills, & can move laterally on 1 on 1 defense better than Amare. Amare will probably become a little more dominant than KG inside due to his hops, explosiveness and strength to the basket, plus he blocks shots a little better than KG. But if you're comparing, KG is cross between Larry Bird, Roy Tarpley, and James Worthy while Antonio's a better version of Antonio McDyess in his early days... If you have the opportunity, you take KG... ALWAYS.

KG, he has carried his team on his own for a while and through the all-star games you can kinda see a natural chemistry between he and Kobe, where I'm not sure on how amare and Kobe will mix(even though he thinks Kobe is the best player in the league )

I know how much of an upside Amare has, but I still have a question of how much of his game improved because of him, and how much it improved due to the style of play and a PG that knows when and where to get him the ball.

He is still a raw talent. Where as KG is polished.

I think KG makes us a contender right now, where Amare just makes sure we have a good record and some playoff success.

KG is the better player, but I voted for Amare. I can't overlook the age factor. That's a tough one though. I think Nash and Marion made Amare look better than he really is, but KG makes everyone around him look better. Crap, now I'm not sure if I made the right vote. Arghh!

Amare. He's younger and getting better year by year. Although I definately wouldn't mind having KG.

KG. More experience, more versitile, better stats, more proven (not saying Amare is not, just saying KG is more), more of a leader

Amare definitely, huge upside !!! In 2 or 3 years Amare will be dominating and Garnett will be receding.

6 years of Amare is worth considerably more than 6 years of KG.
