Excellent W.
We turned up the D.
Now I wanna see it every game. Every possession.
With our depth, we can afford to exert more effort on the defensive end and not be concerned that we're wearing ourselves out. _________________ Everything. Changes. |

with that off the backboard alleyoop.
Is that an assist or a missed shot on the stats? |

You do that staff only when it doesn't really matter _________________ Major bullets dodged: DH12 - twice, LMA, Melo - twice, PG-13, DeMar DeRozan. Hit jackpot with DH-12 at the right time |

D was good. Starting unit a work in progress; not there yet.
Second unit blew the Raptors off the court in transition. WOW. |

I agree with the idea of playing Farmar more, but you still start Fisher, let him get burn for the first few minutes, then around the 2 minute mark, put in Farmar and let him play for the rest of the first, 2nd, and 3rd, and depending on the score, just let Farmar finish the game or put in Fisher to solidify the win..we gotta save Fisher for the finals baby! =D

Nope.
A) The bench mob is sick with Farmar at the helm. I'd much rather unleash that sickly athletic speed brigade on people than waste Farmar with the plodding dinosaurs in the first unit.
B) Fish's job isn't to get assists. The offense in the first unit runs through Kobe and Pau--they're the primary playmakers. Fish, catch and shoot. That's all he needs to do.
Farmar is going to wind up getting 20+ minutes this season. He'll get some minutes with some combo of Kobe/Pau/Drew, but his chemistry with the bench is worth keeping that unit intact. |

None of it was with Bynum on the floor... dude sometimes looks lost and a bit slow. He needs to get it together. Has 3 more games this week to do it. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

Bynum did alright in the first quarter. He's not quite back in the swing of things yet, but at least we know that his athleticism has returned and it's only a matter of time before his timing returns. |

The Lakers don't need saviors. They were missing two excellent defensive players. I don't see how anyone could think that Ariza and Bynum aren't enough of an edge when we took the Celtics to six without them. |

i hear you, LS. our best defensive lineup had farmar, ariza and kobe in it. i still think the best defensive lineup we can put on the floor is either farmar or sasha, kobe, ariza, odom or powell, and andrew.
i left pau off that list because as good as his offensive skill set is, he doesn't show me the anything defensively. |

The thing that kills me is that he NEVER runs back in transition defense. Doesn't even get close to halfcourt even though the Raptor big men were running on offense. |

Bynum isn't putting the effort in yet to justify a big payday. |
