Can the Lakers actually hold a team below 30 in the fourth quarter?

The Kings had lost 8 in a row and they absolutely punked the Lakers.

Refs were predicatbly horrible, but the Kings must have shot 50 layups in this game.

Kobe didn't guard anyone the entire game, I have no idea where this guy's head is at.

The Lakers need to become ANGRY.

ANGER feeds into defensive intensity which is really what we lack. We lack the effort every night. If we played the game the way we are right now we would not be losing this game. It's the fact that Phil hasn't learned how to communicate effort to the players that shows me he may have lost this team.

I don't know if it's effort. I think we just didn't have it today. Can't have both Kobe and Bynum playing like this and win.

No one on the Lakers guarded anyone. Its too common of an occurance. So much for our "defensive coach" Rambis.

Joel Meyers will note that the Lakers did a good job defensively allowing less than 30 in the fourth.

Never too late to trade him for at least something. At this point I'd trade him for Beavis and Butthead

Last three possessions .... Hawes dunks on Bean; Kobe breaks the backboard and Vlad Rad with the airball

that basically defines this game

This loss was GOOD. I love the fact that we lost so convincingly.

DEFENSE has to be preached and practiced EVERY SINGLE DAY. This game magnifies that. If we can lose to the Kings with all our offensive weapons it's a glaring signal of how bad our defense is.

1st post of the game thread

We need to put them down and keep them down, although this game should be easy this team played with effort the last time we played them, and after seeing what Indiana did to us, they might think they could pull off something like that to. Hopefully effort won't be a problem and we'll show up in sac. We will come out playing well, and hopefully not struggle to start.

I knew this game would end up like this. This team needs motivation and needs to show EFFORT every single game.
