Wow. I'm in disbelief.

Phil is one of the friendliest people I've ever met. I played basketball with him a couple of times and shared some long conversations/laughs. His perspectives on life were uplifting and hopeful. He had a beautiful soul. I don't know what else to say right now.

Goodbye, Phil.

Phil was simply in the elite class of posters and human beings on this site. Every correspondence I ever had with Phil was polite, thoughtful and humorous. He truly loved our team and loved this site.

I'm shocked by this news. Life is fragile and we should all take a moment to appreciate what we have and those around us.

Man I'm at a loss for words. Sad news indeed. I've never personally met Phil but I've "met" him thru LG and at LakersTalk when they were around. A sad day in Lakerland as he was a true fan and had an unbelievable compassion for other human beings no matter who they were. May you rest in peace up there Phil and say hi to Chick & Jill for us.

If you ever talked to him, you could just tell he was such a good and rare human being. Phil was doing great work in his life and the impact of Phil's death will undoubtedly be felt far beyond the scope of his contribution to this site, as great as that was.

I really, truly send out my best wishes to his family and all those affected by this loss. whoever those may be.
