Lakers need to clamp down on Blake & Alridge and not pull a Celtic downer.

We're playing at home, so I'm not worried. If we were playing @ Portland i would chalk it up as a loss, since it seemingly doesn't matter who they suit up there, the Lakers always find a way to lose.

Yeah, you hope it's an easy win, but I always fear playing athletic teams when the Lakers are at Staples, because they stop bleeping caring for 3-5 minute stretches and suddenly a blowout turns into a down-to-the-wire game. Pisses me off, but hopefully they play 48.

Without Roy, Kobe could easily go off against the Blazers. I doubt a rookie Batum, or Outlaw can contain him. Webster is out as well.

To tie with Lebron, at 27.5 PPG, he needs 50 points.

Lakers should blow them out, but they always seem to have issues against Portland. Keep in mind - this Portland team (without Roy) beat Boston a few days ago.

It's all about what team shows up. The team that played the first half against Utah is going to obliterate Portland. The team that played Miami might lose.

This Blazer team is deadly from 1 to 12.

Just because their best player and cleary a top 5 shooting guard in the NBA is out in Brandon Roy doesn't mean we take them lightly.

The Lakers know that but it's all about how we execute.

Usual suspects who do damage, Aldridge, Blake, Rudy, Travis Outlaw, Webster ,Rodriquez , and GREG ODEN!!

Greg had a terrible game for the home opener and please believe he will be coming out against us with redemption in his mind.

Oden's just waiting to redeem himself for that woeful performance in the season opener. He'll be gunning for AB and will probably have a decent game.

Woeful Performance?? he played like 12 minutes after a one year absence, and he had 5 boards and a blocked shot (against drew)

We should win this game, only question will be if its close or not.

Since Roy is out, the Blazers don't have anyone to contain and match Kobe in the clutch, so if it comes down to the 4th quarter, the Lakers should win.

It's not like Roy is a Kobe stopper. It makes no difference on the offensive end for Kobe. If anything, Outlaw can play better D on Kobe than Roy can.
