Capologist Prime! Glad you're getting more recognition, and hats off for reading the insanity of the CBA.

He deserves it, considering all the effort and time put in to achieve the tremendous knowledge he has for the CBA/Salary Cap.

Congrats, buddy. Phil would be proud.

You can't get much better than that. Next thing you know, Larry will be featured in a TMZ segment.

Props to you, cap wiz.

...Coon is not a lawyer, just a lifelong Los Angeles Lakers fan with an inquisitive mind, an eye for detail and enough spare hours to make sense of the nonsensical.

thus his position here at LG!

Somewhere, some young NBA fan or burgeoning capologist is reading that article and saying to himself "I want to be like Larry Coon." That's damn cool.

Amazing stuff Larry. I'll never forget your help with the article you wrote when we opened up GetGarnett.com (Now TLN). Not only are we lucky enough to have you join all us fans, but you are big timing us now with the NY media. All well deserved for a great person.

It's a privilege to know you and this article is (bleeping) fantastic! Great job Larry

PostPosted: Tue Jan 13, 2009 11:46 am    Post subject: Some Larry Coon Love

Some quick quotes:

"A godsend," Sam Amick, who covers the Sacramento Kings for The Sacramento Bee, called Coon.

"I've been told by lawyers many times that I think like a lawyer," said Coon. "I don't know if that was an insult or not."

“Without prior experience with it, you’re just completely lost,” said Amick, who began covering the Kings four years ago. “Somewhere along the line, you discover Larry’s resource.”

“It’s a hobby,” (Coon) said. “I don’t collect stamps, so I do this.”

Major props Larry - Just a reminder of how fortunate we are to have you here at LG!

Flo'z -- I -did- mention LG, but it was a 90 minute interview, and I guess an important detail or two is going to slip through the cracks....

What I want to know is, when are you going to get a job in a NBA front office as a capologist? I know it's a hobby but since you're the expert now, I hope you get paid some. God knows there is enough money related to the NBA floating around.
