This is a big test for the Lakers. They could very well lose this game but of course I am pulling for a win. Any news on Sasha playing?

Actually the Spurs are decent this season offensively. It's their defense that has slipped. they are #20 in opponent's FG%.

If he shoots enough dozens of times, he can score 100. What´s the big deal? If Kobe goes for 45 that can only be bad news for the team. Because ours used to be a team.

WTF does that have to do with anything? This team is missing half its bench rotation. Players are logging extra minutes and Kobe is going to have to be Kobe sometimes.

It's not a bad thing, especially short-term.

These guys are gonna want revenge after last season and the no-call on the Barry 3-pointer. Dang, that seems so long ago...

Let's go Lakers!

Sorry, man, I´m not a fan of this kind of shooting sprees. 30 points for a single player mean you´re a good scorer and you may or may not have a good supporting group of players. 45 means you´re selfish and you´re teammates are trash. We´re the Lakers, not the Cavs in a bad day.

That's poor logic. If the opposing team is allowing you to score 45, 55, or even 65+, you take advantage of it. Combined with the possibility of "being in the zone" where everything is going in, you ride what's working.

99 times of 100 that means team ball of course, but don't discount that one opportunity a player that's on fire has to do some damage Rambo-style on an opposing team.

If Pau was dominating a team so hard, I'd be fine with him going for 50+. It just depends on what's happenng on the court.

Pau could only score 45 if he had a 20/25 + free throws night or something as absurd as that. He´ll never get into a shooting spree if he´s not on fire.Well, in fact even if he is. Kobe may do it. He did it yesterday and has done it dozens of times. Look at the typical 40,45 points performances from any player. Almost always it means the team is in trouble and that particular player tries to fight the world. If you´re talking about Kobe or any other player shooting 25 times and scoring 45, OK, obviously. Is that the usual thing? No.

Spurs are finally healthy. They are not deep, but the big 3 are in sync again. Lakers are beat up and it's a back to back. I don't expect them to play well tonight, but a split on this trip is good. Spurs should win but I hope I'm wrong like usual.
