What do you think?

Here's his filmography.

1. 16 Candles - The No. 2 80s classic (Ferris Bueller is No. 1)
2. High Fidelity - Best music/romance/rant movie
3. Grosse Point Blank - I don't know, but this movie is hip and super cool
4. Better Off Dead - Dude. If you don't know, you need to know. "I want my $2!"
5. 1408 - One of the best adaptations of a King story. Scared the (bleep) out of me in the theater.

- The Thin Red Line gets an honorable mention because Cusack was brilliant in the movie.

Definietly:
Grosse Point Blank
Say Anything
The Sure Thing

Certain consideration:
Better Off Dead
The Grifters
High Fidelity

Anyone seen War, Inc? I've been meaning to watch that one

I don't think you can include 16 Candles since he did not have a significant part.

Did we forget "The Breakfast Club"? (80's classics, not Cusak Movies)

I'll admit to not being a good judge, because, inexplicably, I love Cusak movies (and Hugh Grant ones as well). Even such fare as Con Air is eminently watchable because of him.

Favorites?:

(in no particular order)

Gross Pointe Blank
Hi Fidelity
Say Anything
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
The Ice Harvest
The Grifters
The Thin Red Line

Left out 16 Candles and Stand By Me due to role size/importance

I always thought that The Breakfast Club is a good movie, but when I watch it now, I snooze right through it. 16 Candles and Ferris are still very enjoyable.

Better Off Dead is his #1 movie in my book.

Cusack has probably been better (with more opportunity) in movies like High Fidelity and GPB, but he just owned Better Off Dead and the movie is just full of fantastic moments big and small.

High Fidelity should be #1 because he was the protag. He was just a bit player in 16 Candles, although it's as quality an 80's movie as they come.

I should see 1408 though. I failed to do so when it came out, despite some decent reviews.
