Losing to the BOBCATS AT HOME... just unacceptable. Yet sadly I'm not at all surprised. |

It was lost long before that. |
Yah, but I think we could have pulled it out with Kobe. |

Everybody else didn't play as good as they should have. |
Ariza went out with a concussion in the second quarter, but up to that point hadn't had much success. |
Wow, who gave it to him? What a bizarre game...is he going to be out for a couple of games or is it just a minor concussion? |

What's wrong with Sasha's shot? It's as if he spent the summer trying to get a drive game going and totally stopped working on his shooting or something. It's getting where I'm cringing when he shoots. |

Its the same old story. How many times have we seen Kobe, even dating back to 05-06, give us what we need on the offensive end possession after possession, only to see us give up wide open looks and offensive rebounds? No lead is safe with this team. Not a 20 point lead in the 2nd half. Not a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter. And when you play the Lakers, being down 3 with under a minute left pretty much guarantees you a tie.
Didn't you just get the feeling that if the ball was in Felton's hands, not that the Bobcats were going to score every time down the floor, but at the very least get a GREAT look every time? If you can't dig deep enough to get a key stop or two @ home against a team like the Bobcats, then we have a lot to be worried about hitting the road. The way it looks now, every game on the road is going to be a tough game to win, good team or bad team. Buckle up.

PJ Interview:
-It's the way the roll of the dice goes some nights. They outplayed us tonight, more assists, more rebounds. Those are the things that really matter and that's a big key in it.
-(Regarding Kobe's last foul): Didn't see it but the video people said it was a suspect call, but there were a lot of calls tonight that were difficult fouls. Very physical game and there were a lot of things that could be called or not called.
-(Re: Ariza): Not sure what's going to happen with that. Ariza had some nausea and dizziness and ringing... he had his bell rung.
-Will talk to the guys tomorrow, we didn't talk about it after the game. We're disappointed obviously. The disappointment came when we had a three point lead and Diaw hit the 3 pointer on us. It was a situation where we shouldn't have been caught in that kind of a sequence. We just didn't run it right. _________________ Rest In Paradise Kobe & GiGi |

Bingo!
Funniest thing is you'd think a team media touts a superbly talented w/o Kobe would be able to hold a 3pt lead w/ only 30 or so seconds left... _________________ Alltime lineup: Magic | Kobe | MJ | Hakeem | KAJ |

Cleveland and Boston passed us up tonight. The stand pat with the team we have approach will only work if we win homecourt advantage, and I can't see us outlasting both those teams record-wise. If we make it to the finals again I think we'll be on the road, so we better shore up more of our weakness before those get strategically exploited at the end over a 7 game series.
Larry Brown has totally figured out Phil over the last few years. The only time it didn't matter was when we had Shaq at his peak, who would steamroll you to victory whether or not you had figured him out.

Larry Brown said that Wallace had a couple of broken ribs. That would probably keep him out for a couple of weeks at least. I don't know how much a collapsed lung would add to that.
Wallace seems to be an injury magnet. He got a concussion last year and it was said that he would be in big trouble if he had a second ocurrence.

Yep, that's the way its looking more and more. Only a couple of weeks ago, we led Boston by 4 in the loss column, now they have a better record than us.
If we fail to have HCA in the playoffs, it'll be because of ridiculous losses like this and Indiana/Miami/Orlando etc. Key games that we let slip away in the last minute thanks to bone-headed execution.
Its frustrating. Seems like we win 3-4 in a row, then blow one like this to kill the momentum. |

Okay, I'm going to ask you this. You're suggesting that Rambis is the reason why we're losing these close games? What in the hell. Seriously bud, it's the players who are falling asleep on the switches. And in regards to the meltdown of giving up 3's. Boston won't beat us from the arc. Cleveland, however, is another story. You're right about the HCA, we'll stand a chance because we have Kobe but he can't do it all. This team needs to show Kobe they can pull through, Vujacic, especially -- otherwise he won't dish it out to you when it matters. Tough loss tonight, I'm glad most of you aren't taking it too bad.
