31 hopefully. Who else is gonna score consistently on this team other then him? He needs to stop trying to be a point guard setting others up and play to his strengths.

that's exactly what's happening this season. Lamar is going to be setting up Kobe for the wing role.

Sad how it takes 9 years for someone to relieve Kobe from acting like a point guard and sacrificing his game.

Does it really matter? We know what Kobe brings to the table. The question really is can he elevate his teammates level of play? Despite last year's disaster, he did make strides in the leadership category. If he can convince his teammates to not just watch his greatness and foster more team play, the Lakers will be alright this year. So it doesn't really matter how much he scores. It doesn't make sense for him to lead the league in scoring, but have his team goes to the lottery. That won't bode well for him.

Another tid bit. I would love to see him NOT dominate the 4th quarter anymore. That makes LA too predictable. With a more balanced attack, he shouldn't have to shoulder such a load in the 4th. If it is within 2 minutes of the game, granted he should take over -- even sooner than that if no one else is balling with him.

Just my thoughts...

Interesting the poll stops at 31... I mean it is possible he could score more, ya think...

I voted 31 as long as he is healthy, why... Because I think if healthy he is ready to top his best season.

Also I'm a little curious why there were votes less than 27 ? I cannot see Kobe averaging that low as long is he is not hendered by any problems like last year.

I can see some thinking that Phil will reign Kobe in, but remember there was a guy on Chicago that averaged pretty high numbers for a few years under Phil if I recall...

maybe they're optimistic on the number of points the other players can contribute
