way to head to the all-star break. hopefully this keeps them motivated for the 2nd half push for HCA.

It'd better. They might see this team in R1.

Also, Jazz fans can burn in hell. Always been a bunch of classes punks.

Kobe 14-33 .. 33 shots ... how do you expect him to?

Lakers played stupid offense most of that 2nd half and still had a great chance to win it.

I can live with this loss - always knew it would be tough game to win anyway.

Lakers showed a LOT of heart and kept it close despite their poor play. I can live with this loss too. Utah is NOT an easy place to play in. Lakers despite it all still SHOULD have won this game. Gasol was MIA on the boards tonight, Kobe took some ill-advise shots but also made some GREAT plays and shots to keep the Lakers close. Can't win them all.

Gasol lost alot of boards to Lamar, I didn't see us have any rebounding issues. I'm ok with guys having low board games so long as it's not an issue for the team.

But in terms of why he wasn't going in the 2nd half - we rarely went to him. Kobe shot 5 for 18 in the 2nd half. I know he made 2 big plays in the end, but had we played smarter offense to begin with, you may not need those huge plays in the end.

Another case in point of Laker stupidity. Why the hell didn't they go for the two and then foul? So they get the rebound off the missed three and instead of calling a timeout to work up a three pt. play, Fish goes for a wild three pt attempt that had no chance of going in. Real bad decision making at the end. Say hello to loss #10.

Tough loss, once again we have touble with a team with a dominant PG. Jazz tried hard to give it to us in the 4th, but we couldn't seal the deal. Oh well, I will take 7 out of 8 every time.

exactly we didn't play well to much one on one, not a concerted effort to post up pau, not a bad game, we almost had that one but made a mental mistake leaving okur wide open, (we ALWAYS leave the 3 shooter open...bad habbit), and that was game.

4) Blowing countless chances with selfish, stupid decisions.

And here I was thinking you thought the Lakers lost because they just suck! Maybe there is still hope??

Kobe did too, even though he was horrible in the 2nd half aside from his ball dance. Others, not so much, especially Gasol.

Gasol lacked some energy. Also Lakers gave up some key offensive rebounds to the Jazz. Having Bynum and Gasol against this team is a plus. Jazz had too many easy looks at the basket. I wonder how Brown would do for spot minutes against Williams. Hopefully he will get some playing time soon.

I know a lot of people on here are going to agree with you and few will agree with me, but regardless I still think they way overachieved with their shooting as a team tonight. They shot 58.6% for the game... Sure they had a lot of open shots but also a lot of contested ones, if they hadn't been shooting out of their minds most of the game this wouldn't have been a loss.

I'm not going to argue that we don't need to improve our D, that is a given we can all agree on. But that doesn't mean that Utah wasn't on fire.

How can Kobe take 33 shots within 36 mins ? It's a very selfish game by Kobe. It destroys his teammates' offensive flow.

Okur is a deceptively sneaky/physical player. There was nothing more I enjoyed than watching prime Shaq overpower and dunk in the faces of guys like him over and over again (while knocking guys constantly try to score on the inside like Miles on their butt). Gasol didn't have a bad game, but he was neutralized with physical play that kept him from having the allstar impact we needed. Obviously our defense was pathetic, but on offense everything was riding on the consistency of Kobe's jumpers like it was against Boston last year.

To be fair, that was more due to fatigue than anything. It isn't like the Jazz dominated us physically in previous games.
