that may very well be true... but i myself know of whole hoods who bought that album... so it goes both ways. but anyone can relate to "In Da Club" "21 questions" or "If I Can't" Osama can relate to this

i dont relate to any of those... just cause some hoods support that album doesnt mean that they hold a large percentage of record sales

there's a difference between relevant concepts and relevant music... the music side cant stand the guy... i dont think he's too creative lyrically and since i take much pride in hiphop, i dont support who i feel's a wack rapper... with that being said... the detailed concepts i do relate to... i still dont relate to the previous 3 songs the way 50 used them but i do relate to the overall concept... there's good and bad ways of wording a concept... 50 doesnt grab my attention lyrically... maybe others and even millions but not my ears... i dont listen to 50 cause other artists whom i prefer, cover these concepts much better lyrically and musically... just because they dont gather as much sales doesnt mean the message is any less authentic.... im sure we can see the same vision of what were discussing now

THAT MAKES SENSE. ESPECIALLY SINCE I'M THE SAME WAY. I HATE A NON-LYRICAL ARTIST. but one thing i hear in 50's first album that you don't hear in others are different forms of lyrics that most can't use because its based on reality.

for example: "with this gun i can define the definition of pain/ you may survive but your bones will still hurt when it rains" -50 Cent

this right here comes from actually being shot, you know what i mean.

So we're supposed to glorify the fact that he got shot . Anybody can get shot. Doesn't take talent to do that.

if you are a human being WITH A LIFE... a girlfriend... or any taste WHATSOEVER... u can relate to at least 1 of these songs or 1 of the others on "Get Rich or Die Trying"..
by the way.. isn't "get rich or die trying" what we are all doing?

i thought so. u by an album for the song or songs you relate to. nuff said.

How the hell does this constitute it being a classic?

By that logic why don't we throw up a couple of Madonna songs up there while we're at it.

"Like A Virgin" - have u ever been a virgin????
"Material Girl" - EVER HEARD OF GIRLS????

even stepping away from the past we could look at these other "classic" joints that came out recently.

"I Kissed a Girl" - have u ever kissed a girl......AND LIKED IT???????
"lollipop" - i know u HAVE heard or SAVORED a lollipop before
"Blame it" - don't try to tell me u haven't BLAMED before?????

Pretty much if ur a living, breathing, human being then you can relate to these classic songs......not to mention they all sold like a KABILLION times to various teenage white girls across the world.....and we ALL know that they know their hip hop....NUFF SAID

Im not saying Get Rich or Die Trying is a bad album, but just because an album sells 13x platinum doesnt make it a classic album. All that tells me is there are a lot of 12 and 13 year olds buying it.
