Man those were some sloppy passes at the end of the 4th. Still win's a win.

Yah, what's up with him these past two games. He doesn't seem "into it." for some reason. Bad decisions, etc.

We have to be the most dumbest (bleep) team in the entire NBA. Got damn, I'll be shocked if this team wins the championship. SHOCKED. We just hand other teams victories like it's nothing. Tonight we got lucky, but if this continues, this team isn't sniffing a title.

Yeah reminded me of last season's Sasha. Here's hoping we'll see more of this in the playoffs.

It's a win. This team has hit a wall. They'll get past it. Here's hoping for a good road trip to put some spine back in this team.

Also, I hope PJ was blowing smoke about AB's timetable.

This team play like it's the first time they ever play together the way they're just throwing the ball away with those unforced TOs and not even communicating on D.

It was good to be reminded of why he got his nickname to begin with.
Something else positive that I forgot to mention---that I'm sure was probably already posted about as it happened--Luke actually dunked! When was the last time that happened? It was kind of shocking. In a good way.

The lakers look so out of sync on both ends. damn.. That was awful to watch. Gasol and Kobe look tired.. seems mentally and physically.

With Gasol playing a lot of minutes and Kobe getting his usual rest, it's Kobe now who needs to step it up on the road. Last couple games he just hasn't looked right.

May be only thing that's going to energize them again is Bynum... hopefully soon.

I have been fearing that all season, and recognizing it lately as well, rpadma, Kobe and Gasol are tired. I wish Phil would bite the bullet and just let them sit a game or two to hopefully recharge their batteries a little. Damn the losses, I know Pop has done that, even if it meant losing playoff seeding.

Phil Jackson post-game interview:

-That was another one of those run games where we had a little lead and they ran it back at us pretty quick. We were able to stabilize ourselves at the end there.

-(New substitution pattern) I thought that Sasha was real comfortable with it, he looked like that fit his style of game pretty well. I'm not so sure about some of the others. Luke played some real good minutes out there tonight. We didn't sustain the effort during that period of time but the 1st unit lost a lot of it before they got out of there in the 3rd. It almost felt like we lost that quarter. I think we ended up winning that quarter by 6 or 8 points even after all was said and done. But they had a big run at the end of the quarter and it hurt our morale.

-(The way you kept going to Pau in the 2nd half, was that a positive?) I'm not so sure we did it the right way, he had some touches, I think we forced some issues, we didn't make good passes, we didn't give him the ball in the right spot. There are a number of things and they were working hard defensively to make that happen so you have to give some of the credit to the Warriors. But I think our ball players didn't really work to do the right thing feeding him the ball in the post and that's obviously the strength against this team.

-(Re: Kobe's shot being off the last 2 games/no legs) I think we'll be alright, I mean I was worried about Fish, made sure he had short minutes tonight so that he can play some longer minutes on the road because I know that's going to be important for us in that regard. But we'll see, Chicago's playing real well on their home floor right now and we have a game that we know will be a tough one.

-(Re: the 7 items on the board, how did they do?) Turnovers were awful tonight, right off the bat, direct line penetration was not very good, I thought we did some real inconsistent things against their personal knowledge of their personnel. So there's 3 or 4 things that I can name that we did not improve tonight but significantly I thought that there was some better recognition in transition defense even though they got some breaks early, we still had better recognition as to getting back and shutting the ball down.

Luke Walton Interview: (Some of it)

-(What did you make of this win?) It wasn't as clean as we wanted it to be, but like you said, it's a WIN before we go on this road trip and that was what was important tonight. We're obviously striving to play better basketball but while we're working to get better we'll try to get as many wins as we can.

-(Why do you think other teams are taking runs at you?) I'm not quite sure. It's hard to figure out because at different parts of the game we play very well and we got to learn how to play that well for the entire game. I don't know what we are doing wrong, why we keep falling off in spurts in the game but we gotta fix that.

-(Did you know that Cleveland won tonight and you had to keep pace?) Yeah, we knew that and you know, we know and when we say that we need to play better basketball we're aware that we still have a very good record and are a very good team, but our goal is winning a championship so we're striving to get better but by saying that, we're not saying that we feel that we're a bad team at all, we just know that we can play even better.

Yeah. We're 54 and 14. We hand away wins all the time.

Jeez, if we lose the sky is falling, if we win, we should have lost.

CALM THE HELL DOWN. Been on this message board 2 days, and I'm shocked by the irrationality.
