I have no answer as I always thought the team was owned by Jerry Buss and not us.

yo guys ! I am a Laker fan, you should see me arguing with my Laker hater friends defending Kobe, but Mitch's stupid moves have messed this team up and I take heat from my friends 24/7

At least I am a realistic fan, not like other who dare to overrate players like Sasha who sucks like noone else

The only reason why I say slava, is because he's been on the team the longest and still hasnt proven himself as a legit NBA Player!!! I like him and root for him, but in all honesty, if he doesnt prove somthin soon, he should be the one to go first!

IMO you have thin skin. I listen to bashing all the time. I just remind them these are the Lakers, the team everyone loves to hate. We have had worst times, and will again see better times.

LIttle premature, don't you think--considering that we're still adding camp fodder to the line up. Wait until at least the start of pre-season before you start this ....

First of all we can't let anyone go, our roster is to thin.

But if we had to let one go I'd say No D Slava. He can score but he can't defend.

If LA does not get some size via trade Slava will probably stay.

But via trade Slava, George, Vlade, Profit, Cook and maybe even Sasha could be good candidates depending on the prize...

Tierre & Bobbitt may already be goners... if Spree comes..

We have 17 guys under contract right now. The roster is not thin.

Sasha can neither score, nor defend so your argument regarding Slava would imply that a guy who cannot play either end of the floor is better than one can only play one-way.

Indeed.

Who should we get rid of in first place? Well, if we got rid of the Suns, Kings, Clippers and Warriors then that would put us in first place.

Grammar exists for a reason el juey. You ought to consider using it before you post your next inane thread.

Slava because he is the worst Laker of all time!!!!! At least with Sasha and Cook they still have the chance to become something. Slava is the same player now that he was when he entred the league 5 seasons ago.

Sasha was a rookie and got limited minutes. Give him a chance I thought he was suppose to get 2-3 years. Slava has had a lot of time to develop but he didn't. I'd rather cut the older guy.

We have five guards, four sf's(if anyone should go it should be a sf), three pf's, two centers(one is prob. not gonna get much time).

Mhim/AB
KB/Cook/Slava
Odom/Walton/Jones/DG
KB/Von
Mckie/Sasha/Smush

Three of these guys are rookies. I could be missing someone.

Because he is awful and shoots 28% from the field.

Why is he supposed to get 2-3 years? What is his upside? He will never be able to defend at an NBA level and his offense will never be anything spectacular. You can see the tools he has to work with--they're not NBA caliber, thus there is nothing to develop there.

And yet Slava is far better than Sasha would be if given time to develop. Cut a 6'10" guy with a nice offensive repertoire who can score 20+ when he's given touches against real NBA players or cut the kid who can't hit the backboard and can't defend a piece of gum stuck to the floor?

Mhim/AB/Vlade (still under contract until the 30th)
KB/Cook/Slava
Odom/Walton/Jones/DG/Profit
KB/Von/Green (though I think he might be listed as a pg?)
Mckie/Sasha/Smush

Missed 3 guys, one of who is likely camp fodder (Green). Bynum and Wafer are the only rookies that will get minutes. Green will likely get cut. There are only 2 rookies on the roster opening day (unless Green or another camp invite really impresses).

Sasha will not get minutes ahead of Smush who is better at everything than Sasha (as well as having played in a little more than twice as many games as Sasha). Hell, if Sasha didn't have a guaranteed contract I'm not certain that he even beats out Green in camp. In fact there is nothing that Sasha can do better than anyone on the team. Come talk to me when he can make more than 1/3 of his shot attempts.

Smush does have more experience than sasha. So he might get more min.

Isn't that because he got limited minutes and shots. But 28% is low.

20+? Isn't that to high. And what touches is he gonna get behind kobe, Odom and Kwame?

I'm just saying I'd rather give sasha time to develop. But we can't all agree. Basketball wouldn´t be fun if everybody did.
