Kobe
Odom
Kwame
McKie
Devean
Walton
Jumaine
Cook
Slava
Sasha
Bobbit
Mihm
Profit
Devin Green
Wafer
A-Bomb
Smush
Vlade ?

Keep in mind player in D-League count on the roster.

I say we cut Smush(non guaranteed K), Profit and Green.

It's 15 roster spaces.

As for who, probably Green, Profit, Vlade, JJ, Slava, and Devean.

Other than the "rehire as a consultant" I have to agree.

BTW, isn't it that every team has to keep 14 but they have an option of having 15??

Green: He most likely lose the guard spot to Smush.
Bobbit: Played terrible in spl, Green is better player so he's out
Vlade: May lose spot from the news I've read so far.
Profit: Unless he shows some skills in training camp, he'll be out

Ummm, why cut JJ who is one of our best defenders and shoots just under 40% from 3? Ummm, why cut Slava and George who both have guaranteed contracts? Yeah, Mitch is just going to waive $10 million of so in salary between the three of those guys and get nothing in return.

First of all, Bobbit isn't even under contract. I don't get why people keep including him in our roster. He won't be back. Profit and Green will both get cut in my opinion.

I think this will be the final 15 man roster

PG:
1. McKie
2. Sasha
3. Smush

SG:
4. Kobe
5. Wafer

SF:
6. Lamar
7. George
8. JJ
9. Luke

PF:
10. Kwame
11. Cook
12. Slava

C:
13. Mihm
14. Bynum
15. Vlade

If they are going to sign Sprewell, then I think they will either buyout Vlade or cut Smush. I would prefer the latter, because as much as I like Smush's potential, he wouldn't contribute this season as a backup guard as much as Sprewell would. Looking at our backup bigs, I think keeping Vlade is a must. I don't want to see him get bought out. Just my opinion.

But Sasha would contribute more than Parker?

Vlade would be nice if he could play 20 minutes a night. By most accounts he cannot. And if he can't play 20 minutes a night then he isn't worth the $5 million he'd be paid. Thus, he needs to be traded or bought out.

Is this the year the developmental league starts?

Smush should be sent there if we get another player.

Smush has already shown more in two seasons in the NBA than Sasha has. Why on Earth would you want to send our best PG defender to the NDBL and keep a guy that cannot defend SPL players, much less NBA players?

Sasha is under contract, and it seems like Mitch likes the kid. I don't like the fact that he's taking up a roster spot, but it's not my decision. And in my 15 man roster (which you cut out), Smush is the only one without a guaranteed contract. So if Sprewell were to sign, Smush would have to go. I don't like the idea of buying out Vlade, and relying on a 17 year old as the primary backup (or a 6'10" shooter who can't pass, rebound or defend). Signing Sprewell and buying out Vlade is a lateral move. It slightly patches up the hole at PG, but creates an even bigger hole at center (bigger than there already is). I would rather have Sprewell and Vlade than Sprewell and Smush. So that was my logic. I know Smush has shown potential in SPL, but we should be careful not to overrate him. He still hasn't proven anything.
