Ariza was on Korver for most of that. Thanks for playing.

The officiating wasn't as horrific as I thought it would be, but the officials both times missed (or just didn't want to call) Boozer's blatant arm hooks on Pau. The Jazz were desperate and it showed...now it is time to get this win on Saturday and rid ourselves of this team from Utah on Monday night.

The silver lining of the night is Charles Barkley talking politics with Anderson Cooper.... "Hey Anderson, I've got a serious question for you, why don't we shoot dem pirates?"

If the Lakers didn't lost this one, they would have lost Saturday. Utah is a rabid dog, and Stern needs to throw them a bone to keep them at bay or else the fan base starts to fall off. Same thing happened last year. Don't be surprised if we lose Saturday due to some horrid officiating as well.

the refs are always full of crap thats a given. We should of won that game. Gasols missed free throws could of won the game for us. Our dumb defense giving up 13 points

Drew can't even be put in this category since he was barely on the court. The onus of this stat falls on Pau and Lamar and everybody else out there.

What worries me most is even with Bynum, Ariza, and Brown, this team strikes as extremely similar to last year's team that wasn't good enough to win it all. I don't see many differences--even last year's Jazz series is playing out in similar fashion. The fact that Bynum is kind of a non-factor out there due to either injury or dealing with the postseason pressure or a combination of both is the biggest issue.

i would of felt good losing on saturday then coming back home. Whereas we have a chance losing the next game making it 2-2

In crunch time, the refs missed a blatant hook by Boozer and LO getting pushed in the back on the layup. With NBA refs, this crap happens. So who's gonna officiate the next game?

You weren't paying attention. Ariza was sitting on the pine starting the fourth, and Kobe was covering Ariza. Maybe you're confused, because Kobe wasn't actually playing defense.

This is the NBA. You let the players decide the game. Boozers hook was a good non call.

Very intense and entertaining game of the evening. I would have love to see Kobe hit a game-winning 3. After he missed it, it felt that we can put away the Jazz at Staples Center on Monday. Williams was a one-man show for the Jazz and Boozer played with a sense of desperate. Our defense played well at times. I expected the Lakers to win one game in Salt Lake but game 4 will be the chance to close the Jazz in Salt Lake. Purple and Gold Empire, stay strong and fight on!!!!

I expected the ref'ing to be horrific, and it was a tad bit worse than I expected. I think that's why the Lakers fizzled in the end. I mean, how can you beat a team backed by the refs? Deron gets touched, whistle blows. Pau gets slapped and grappled, it's considered physical play. Bynum does a spin move in the paint and it's called charging. It's a dang spin move around the defender, how can he run into the guy and knock him over, ref??!!!

I'd like to see you explain that one to Bynum...

The officiating will be even worse on Saturday. If it's not Drew picking up early fouls, it will be Pau or Fisher or Ariza. I expected the Jazz to win one game and Game 3 was it. The Lakers can't play any worse than they did today.

How is it a good non-call? It was the reason for Boozer being able to score that basket. If he didn't gain any advantage, then it's a good non-call.

even if you get hooked, you need to move your (bleep) feet and at least foul the hell out of boozer instead of letting him dunk on you. and how the hell does pau gasol let boozer get that kind of post position? force him out (bleep)!
