The NBA just announced the many possible schedules for the rest of round one with a footnate

Lakers vs (Portland or Houston) will be on Monday, May 4.

no times yet - my guess is it'd be 7:30pm

This long layoff might hurt us for a half or so, but it is absolutely huge the rest of the series and playoffs.

That's assuming that the Rockets/Blazers go to game 7 correct? ...and if the Rockets close out this Thursday?

How come we aren't facing Dallas? Good thing it is on Monday, I have to go camping over the weekend.

That's good. It will allow players like D-Fish to get their legs back.

Would've liked to see the game earlier; feels weird not having any Lakers games to watch for a week. Still playing 5 games every other day probably takes a toll so don't mind the players getting some much needed rest. Still a long way to go and we need everyone rested and ready to go for the next round.

NBA doesn't re-seed (unlike the NHL) so the Lakers are locked into playing the winner of the 4/5 match-up, as opposed to the worst remaining seed (Dallas).

That's what I used to ask as well. I thought that the highest seed always plays the lowest seed.

I guess once the seeding is complete from 1-8, the the bracket is set even though Rockets and Blazers are seeded higher that Dallas.
