Yes, because Scola was talking a lot of smack to the whole Laker team.

4 point plan for the rest of the series:

1) game 2 is a must win. no excuses
2) split the two games in houston
3) win the key game 5 at staples
4) close out in 6 or 7 games

great win, now move on to point 2!

Watched the game pretty closely and beside some hard playoff-level fouls on Odom, I didn't see anything dirty. Was he talking trash?

Grabbing the jersey of a player he fouled while he was falling out of bounds to pull that player with him.

That was one thing I saw.

And getting in the face of several Laker players as if he was indeed the "pit bull" Kenny "The Rocket" Smith talked about after the game.

I guess that makes Fisher a "Rhino", huh?

He's been grabbing Lamar's jersey all game long, especially when he goes for rebounds. I guess Lamar didn't appreciate it cuz right after he blocked Scola's shot, he said something to him. Then Scola said something to Odom, but Scola decided he wants to also take it out on Luke and Sasha.

And from there, he got what was coming to him...

Yeah Scola is no saint down there in the paint. He is known for taking cheap shots and pulling jerseys. I wouldn't call him dirty just a tough player.

Scola and Fish are champions in their respective spheres of past.

If Fish wanted to send a message, Scola won't be intimidated having been in the Euroleagues/World/Olympic play levels where brawls and bottles thrown are not uncommon.

If Fish should get a game suspension, it wasn't worth it. Hot or cold his playoff leadership is far more important whether he's producing. That's LA biggest advantage. Houston is approaching PO areas they have never been and I give Adelman credit but he's no Phil. It's also what bench players are for.

As A SAS fan I was really really shocked when I saw the final score after the first game. In fact I still am. I wish I'd seen the game. This could turn into the best semis this PO season and go seven games. Prior I would thought six games at an extreme maximum.

I believe that early on in the game Scola low-bridged Fish....That started the wheel in motion...
Then Lo got into,Luke and sasha, and then good ole' warrior that he is Fish uncorked some muscle and shoulder into him....

But the seed was planted early on with the low bridge.

One thing is,the lakers have to keep their composure.

To begin the series I was wondering just how Kobe will stay away from Artest's antics. It's still a troublesome thing, because Artest is a real nut-job,and Kobe is a true warrior, with lots of pride and a tough guy himself.

Kobe has to bite his lip, ignore Artest, and beat the Hell out of him and the Rockets through hoops.....

Apparently no one saw Scola hit Odom on the head when he went for the layup?

Finally got to see a replay after a media/internet blackout and I'm pretty happy right now!

Pau showed up, we made them run, got Yao in trouble, The Ron ejection didn't hurt at all but by that time was there anything stopping Kobe??? Answer is no. Battier better take those Kobe files and start all over again...

Bring on game 3. Best road record in the NBA, I'm confident we get one if not both....

Kevin Garnett for mad dogging a little girl after he swipes her ice cream cone.

Scola has also been setting some brutal, blind-side moving screens on Fish.
