Dante jones and anthony carter? I can't believe denver would do that considering kmart is a pretty good perimeter defender. This might open up some space for bynum and gasol to start dominating the post.

I doubt refs screw us in game 2 like they did in game 1.

Which would make it an easy Laker win.

Gasol needs to take atleast 15 shots.

He was efficient in game 1, I think Fisher was hogging all of Gasols shots.

I think the Lakers will come out with a different mind frame for this game. I think in games 1 its always more about feeling your opponent, the Lakers have not played the Nuggets in a while and they have been balling, we got the chance to see what they can do especially their front court. I expect Phil to make some changes...

Shannon Brown and Jordan Farmar need more playing time. They played a combined 15 minutes while Fish played 31 minutes. That is unacceptable. Farmar and Brown should be getting at least 12-15 minutes each.

I'll be sooo pissed off if the Lakers come out complacent just because they won game 1.

Well if they did come out complacent and game 1 was a win then game 2 would be too right?

If we come out shooting jumpers instead of getting the ball inside, I'm gonna pull my hair out.

It's a soft, passive mindset.

Game 2, on our very first offensive possession, we need to just attack the basket and try to break the F'n rim down!!

I don't care if we get a charge call - we just need to set the tone. An AGGRESSIVE tone. "No jumpers. We are going to attack you!"

Then, hopefully, that will transfer over to aggressive, attacking DEFENSE as well.

Have to win game two and put the Nuggz on the ropes, it will be a different game than game one for sure now the Lakers know what to expect from Denver. I expect the Lakers to come out with better intensity to start the game. I believe that game one loss was very discouraging to them and you could see it on George Karl's face during the interview after the game.... he was about to cry

I say the Lakers will win game

Lakers 110
Denver 100

I really hope Lamar, Ariza, Fisher, Farmar and Sasha can play better in Game 2.

I too agree that Game 1 was a feel you out type of game.

I expect a better effort in Game 2.

They also had to adjust to a completely different style from Houston. I think as the series gets further along, you'll see the other Lakers pick up their offense. Lakers by 12.

I haven't seen any mention of his injury at the end of game 1.

We know he laid on the floor after buzzer ... looks like he rolled or twisted his knee on the last play going for the ball.

If he's out or hurt, I think this seriously cripples the Nugget guard rotation.

No, if they do that KMart will foul out in the first half. Kobe is too quick and too savvy for KMart.

A few things:

-Fish needs to STOP jacking up those stupid shots that stop the ball movement. Stop forcing layups.

- Sasha just needs to sit down! he is HORRIBLE. Powell scored more than he did, with less minutes!

- Bynum needs to stop reaching and stop being so damn lazy. You mean you cant back down pigeon chest?? He is about 150lbs with 2 wet rocks in his pocket! And wipe that dumb doe eyed look off your face. THIS IS A MAN's GAME!

-Pau needs to JUMP!!! get some air underneath those damn shoes. Dont go up with those sissy shots. This is not euro league 2000!

-Lamar has got to pound the damn ball inside!!! dont settle for the 3.. Great, youve made a few...but that is FOOLS GOLD

- Phil....LIMIT SASHAS minutes, play brown, play bynum...his fouls arent rollover minutes; LET HIM USE ALL 6 IF NEEDED! Keep a damn leash of Fisher. Mbenga as a banger?? ....just saying.

-Ariza.. use the pump fake. Youve made some 3's and now people will rush to defend. step in and either pass or drive to the rack. Know where your going before you get into the teeth of the D, and become erratic.

** Good play from

Farmar..(needs more minutes against an older defender)
Luke (was ok..didnt throw the ball away)
Kobe .( CARRIED THIS TEAM on BOTH ENDS)

OVERALL:
PLAY SOME D!!! no open dunks to some guy named NENE? and BIRD MAN? aka pigeon chest

As a Laker fan I sure hope so. Karl is a moron, but he isn't an idiot.

Kmart on Kobe = who on Pau? good luck!

If there ever was a time to play the big lineup this is it!

Bynum - Nene
Pau -Martin
Odom - Carmelo
Ariza/Sasha - Smith
Kobe -Billups

we would lock them all down with our size and lenght!

Dear Basketball gods or George Karl whichever one is listening,
Please let Kmart guard Kobe so that the Lakers can sweep this series.
Sincerely Yours,
rollins
