What, Dwight couldn't get swept like you did when you were with Orlando? No doubt! _________________ Duncan is a mere subset of Kobe's fundamentalocity.

How little of a person is Shaq that he's threatened by Howard?
I get him hating Kobe but what did Howard ever do to him? |

Grow up Shaq. Howard has more desire on the glass at age 23 than you ever did.
Way to kick the guy when he's down. |

Yeah, I always tried to explain to people how "little" Shaq really was, but all they could see was the Big Diesel smiling and making jokes. It's sad.
But, the cynical part of me knows that Shaq doesn't see this as demeaning Dwight; instead, he is merely riding Dwight's spotlight, trying to get back into the conversation. It's all PR. Nothing personal. |

Geez, Shaq.
And people actually think it would be cool to have him back here.

Ironically, Shaq himself is giving Howard all kinds of credit by doing this. He's making a comparison of the two when there hasn't been any comparisons between the two made. Dwight is no young/prime Shaq, that's for sure. No one is confused by that EXCEPT Shaq, ironically.
Worrying about who the REAL Superman is is simply just too immature for a guy who's what? 37? I take it back, it's not immature, it's simply just borderline committed. lol |

I know!! I would be SO disappointed if Shaq and all his drama came back to the Lakers. _________________ There's one guy I want to be in the foxhole with every time, win lose or draw. That's who I want to be with." - Lamar on Kobe |

| I can see Shaq's argument about stealing his nickname. I mean Shaq does have the superman symbol tatooed on his arm. But other than that I think he's really just jeaolous of the fact that Howard is such a dominating force and Shaq isn't any longer. They were similar players in that they were freakish athletes, but Shaq was more freakish than Howard. If Howard ever developed a great offensive game, he'd be a better player than Shaq was. He's already a far better rebounder, and a better defender than Shaq ever was. I'm skeptical that Howard can develop a great offensive game, because he doesn't have a very soft touch. But he's good enough that I think Shaq is thinking legacy. He's never been a class act. |

Did anyone hear or have a link to Kobes comments on Shaq. He made them yesterday or Wenesday. Kobe was very classy to Shaq. Hartman mentioned something about it. Words to the effect.....
Reporter- How does it feel to face Superman?
Kobe-"I love Dwight, but there is only one superman long ago and he wore number 34." |

Maybe this is childish on my end, but I am COMPLETELY savoring this season. During all of the drama, Shaq was painted as the "good guy", while Kobe was responsible for the breakup of the dynasty. In reality, we all knew that Shaq played a big part in that dynamic (although Kobe definitely wasn't blameless) over the course of several years, and the media swept Shaq's misgivings under the rug time and time again...only to highlight Kobe's.
When Shaq was traded, all we heard was the "he'll never win without Shaq" drivel, and was never afforded the consideration that LeBron gets for "not having the supporting cast" when guys like Kwame Brown, Chris Mihm, Luke Walton, & Smush Parker were STARTING, and guys like Brian Cook & Tierre Brown were playing critical roles. A few of the greatest seasons of all-time were discounted and diminished by those who simply chose to find the bad in everything that related to Kobe.
So now we stand on the precipice of another championship, with a 3-5 year window (at least) as contenders for the title by virtue of a roster that was assembled as the result of Shaq's departure.
All while Shaq has inquired about the flavor of his posterior, attacked someone who he views as a threat to his ego (D12), gone after a "Master of Panic" that got his team further than anyone expected, and shown himself to the world to be the insecure child that Laker fans already knew he was.
Kobe...hows redemption taste? _________________ Larry Coon's moustache...c. 1974-2009
